Just wondering. I'm really hungry because I didn't eat breakfast. I planned on a grilled cheese with fat free American cheese (2 slices) on whole wheat and a banana. But that may be out the window now in lieu of something more substantial.
Do you brown bag, eat at work in the cafeteria, eat out or eat at home? I go home most times for lunch and make something there. Sometimes I do take out, but that is rare.

I have no choice but to brown bag it for lunch. I work in home health as a private duty pediatric nurse. My shift is 12 hrs LOOOOOOONG. I can't leave and no restaurant will deliver that far.

Well...I ended up eating a chicken salad sandwich on a bun, Hot & Spicy Cheez-Itz (about half of a small bag) AND a Tastykake Koffee Kake Junior!
Okay, it's either out dancing for me or a 2 mile walk after work and errands. I need to eat my freakin' breakfast!!!

I'm getting into the habit of two breakfasts, then just yogurt for lunch. Smaller meals throughout the day seem to work better than I ever thought they would (I've always eaten more like a lion than a bird). My problem is that our cafeteria has great food, but hardly 'figure-friendly' as Rachael Ray would say.
Breakfast 1: oatmeal and a banana Breakfast 2: bacon and eggs on croissant Lunch: yogurt with berries
If I'd done the usual lunch special thing it would have been red chile enchiladas, baracho beans and Mexican rice, but I'd have skipped the bacon and eggs. I'm trying to go with the proverb: Eat breakfast like a king, lunch like a prince and dine like a pauper.

A healthy yet tasty Albuquerque Salad. It's got creamy black beans, brown rice, corn, onion, jalepeno and a vinaigrette dressing. I'm looking forward to it since I haven't made it in awhile. I made it last night and the flavors should be good now.

One of the neighbors gave me some Tomato Bisque that she made from my recipe. It was yummy.
I must be the only one in this place that eats lunch anymore...lol.

Nope, lunch is usually my biggest meal!
Today was the exception though - homemade Posole.
