Posts: 24,134 I was wondering if coffee beans were actually edible and so since I have heard of the chocolate covered beans, I researched their nutritional value. Seems they just might be nutritious if your blood type can handle coffee. Actually has fiber in it and some vitamins and minerals.

Woops forgot to post my recipe.

2 coffee scoops or starbucks mild coffee beans, ground finely, breakfast blend I think.
1 scoop of cacao nibs ground finely
about half a cup or more frozen milk
half cup or so liquid milk
tablespoon heaping hershey's cocoa powder
4 long squeezes of honey
half of a frozen banana
6or 8 frozen cherries depitted

All in a Vitamix and blended til slushy. I could only eat a small portion but it was tasty and I put the rest in a baggie and froze it. Oops, it is sitting out. BBL.

Might have been a cup of frozen milk.

Sure hope I can sleep tonight, lol!

Posts: 24,134 Nope, wish I was. They are spensive boogers. The beans were a wee bit crunchy. I need to make them finer. Maybe put them in a molcajete and powder them.

Posts: 24,134 Have you tried the cocao nibs, GH? Mmmmm. Still has the cocoa butter in them so they are sort of buttery.
