Take 1.5 pounds of broccoli, 1.0 pounds of sweet sausage, and 0.5 pounds of seedless grapes, plus 2 cloves of garlic.
Chop the broccoli florets apart. Chop up the stems. Blanch the broccoli (steam it in the microwave for 3 minutes, then dump it into ice water, then drain it). Chop into coarse chunks.
Cook the sausage over a medium heat in a large, deep skillet, until a nice brown color. Take out and cut into thick slices. Return to heat to cook through. (Suggestion: keep enough water in the skillet to spread the heat, and to keep the whole mess from sticking.)
Once the sausage is done, mix in the broccoli chunks and the pressed garlic cloves, and season with a dash of salt and pepper to taste. Heat thoroughly. Before serving, mix in the grapes for a minute or so.
What you get is the meatiness of the sausage, the texture and taste of the broccoli, and the gush of warmjuice as you bite into the grapes. The garlic adds to the flavor, but doesn't overwhelm the dish.
Yum! I just finished off the leftovers.

I'm thinking it has a little fennel seed? (Licorice flavor.)
Pretty much, anything that's not spicy. Though spicy might work.

I'm thinking it has a little fennel seed? (Licorice flavor.) I'll add fresh fennel, rather than liquorice
I'll let you know what happened.

I think I'll give the tarragon, anise, fennel or liquorice a miss.
I haven't tried this yet, but I will this week.

Sweet sausage are usually where the Johnsonville brats are, or those kinds of meats. You should be able to get them any where. I use them for any Italian recipes that call for hamburger or sausage
