Ok so it is commonly known that ya veggies are good for you.
But did you know that at one time in America that meat was a side item, not the main.
Did ya know that a plant base not only will a plant based diet, will actually reverse the starting of heart decease and cancer.
Did ya know your body wasn't made to handle the amount of meat we take in on average today. Evolution isn't that fast.
Our bodies are design to consume mostly plants and little meat.
That we are actually starving our self wit the amount of meat we eat, versus the plant base we in take?
It is completely ok to have a veggie burger with bacon and cheese. You'll lve longer for it.
Care to share you favorite veggie recipes?

I very seldom eat red meat .. it just doesn't agree with me.. sometimes I crave a steak when I go to a restaurant, but most places only have these HUGE cuts on the menu.. not many places have a 3 or 4 oz steak on the menu.

OT.. this is simple and I love it.. my mom will sautee some onions in a pot with butter.. then adds a can of pork and beans.. which I used to hate.. I could not believe how much it changed the taste of them.. but you have to cook the onions and butter before adding the beans..

one of my favorite meals to fix is just sauteeing mushrooms and onions in butter and about a half a cup of beer.. I just let it cook down til the "sauce" thickens... sometimes I add a little fresh garlic to it.. I can pig out on this stuff!

Your craving is most likely your body wanting Iron.
A baked potato will fix this right up, so wont broccoli.

My greatest weakness is salt cured ham.

it just doesn't agree with me..

sauteeing mushrooms
Mine too.
Big fat portabella's YUM!!!
I also Like the puffballs.
Puffballs are ideal for beginning mushroomers because there are no poisonous species, and they're easy to tell apart from other groups if you pay attention. If a puffball has no stalk or "legs," and is pure white, soft, and undifferentiated (no separate parts) inside, then it's in an immature state, and it's a choice edible mushroom.

OK, I added some chicken to this, but it wasn't really necessary:

Sauteed sliced baby bella mushrooms and onions in olive oil (reading this thread, next time I'm adding some butter), along with red peppers and asparagus. I covered a personal sized pizza crust with pizza sauce and shredded cheese (I used a colby/jack combo) and topped it with the stir fry. Five minutes to assemble and twenty minutes in the toaster oven, and I had a delicious crispy pizza for supper.

Daisy, that onion/butter/beer combo sounds great, especially with the garlic!
