Do you like your burgers juicy? Of course you do, no one likes a dry-ass burger right? Well, here are some tips to help:
Use different textures and flavors mixed into the burger. These mix-ins work especially well with beef, turkey, chicken and seafood burgers--they not only add flavor, but also moisture.
Plain yogurt (great for lean meats) Cooked or caramelized onions Finely chopped peppers--mild or hot Sun-dried tomatoes Fresh Herbs Grated Cheeses
Remember, do NOT mix in so many added ingredients that the burger will not bind! (an egg will help bind your meat if it will not form)
Try to dice your additions finely. You don't want meatloaf, you want a burger.
Remember, you can always ADD, but not take away! Add minimal amouts at a time unless using a pre-written recipe.
You DO want some fat in your meat. Fat adds flavor and moisture..........(I usually use 80/20 for burgers) Soy Sauce, Balsamic Vinaigrette and Worcestershire in minimal amounts is helpful as well..........................
Also, if you are cooking on an outdoor grill, don't squish all of the juices out of your burger with a spatula.......

If you don't want to use onion soup mix you can use bbq sauce that has onions in it, that works really well too, also if you cook them at a lower heat

Yup.......I use the onion soup mix as well......But not a whole packet. I do a quarter packet per 2lbs. of meat.

Also, if you are cooking on an outdoor grill, don't squish all of the juices out of your burger with a spatula..... Never ever do this,,even in a skillet.
Plus, I have put them in warmed up beef broth when making a bunch, and the taste is wonderful.

The most amazing burger I ever had was formed with a hole in the middle. The hole prevented the patty from bubbling up in the center and shrinking. I believe the burger also had some portion of onion soup mix in it, but here's the kicker...it was SMOKED in a smoker rather than grilled. Friggin' fantastic!

Surprisingly it really works...Just use your thumb to poke a hole on the top of the burger, not all they way through. Just make a good dent. It works especially well if your bbq'ing I find.
