This is the best recipe for queso I've ever had. Its my dad's recipe. Right it down cause its good stuff.
You'll need a crock pot. Nothing to big, a small one will do.
You'll also need 1 whole package of velveeta cheese (the block) cubed. 1 lb. of sausage... preferably jimmy dean sage sausage. Cook it and then drain. 1/2 a can or full can of salsa... I use picante sauce 1 can of rotel tomatoes Combine all together in the crock pot and wait until its nice and bubbly. Get some nice and salty tortilla chips and enjoy.
I have tons of great recipes in my online cook book so if anyone ever needs a good recipe just shoot me an email.

You'll love it. Its very addictive. Its also great as a leftover. Whenever I have a little get together there is always extra. So the next day I just spread it on a tortilla and make a quesadilla.

I love Rotel dip.............Been making it since the early 80's.
But when I make it, I use 4 cans of Rotel, one big block of Velveeta, 1/2 onion, a little condensed milk and some garlic powder. If I'm going to add meat, I usually use ground chuck or shredded chicken. With the leftovers, you can boil some vermicelli or spaghetti and have chicken Rotel spaghetti..........

I make this for Superbowl or birthday parties, with very little meat. I think a person will be ok if they only have it once in awhile

I have made this, but sub cream cheese for the Velveeta, and add a couple cans of mild diced green chilis....I use my own salsa, so it has a bit of *get up and Go*...

Tira, I've heard you talk about your salsa before. Would you consider posting your recipe? Or email me it? Thanks!

I've got the worse eating habits of anyone on MD but recent bloodwork shows it's not hurting me that bad. If I've made it this far, then I'll probably check out by getting in a wreck while driving to buy some cream-filled donuts.... or
