Some time ago, I spent some about 18months in a provincial capital in China. I was befriended & eventually seduced by an American, specifically a Hoosier.
American accents can be a turn on... but it can depend on what is said & how it is said.
My favourite phrase; "Oh come on... I'm an English teacher from the mid-west. I don't have an accent!"

Definitively a turn on. I am French, with a strong French accent, a lots of women find it attractive or sexy. Other advantage because people have a problem understanding you they pay more attention to what you are saying especially if you speak softly.
