Yes, there is such a thing. I've done it many times and will probably do it many more. It was not so long ago...no really, it wasn't...when that's just the way it was done.
I think it's too easy for a relationship these days to be concentrated around the sex, leaving the fact that you're not right for one another to come out some undetermined time in the future.
I'd rather to do my homework, before turning it in!

I think it depends on the people involved and the situation. There is a time and place for sex but all dates do not have to revolve around it.

I have been without sex for 12 yrs & think it is fine. Before my loving husband died he felt bad because his meds rendered him impotent. He worried that he was not being a good husband. He was a wonderful husband & I hope someday to find another loving mate.....who is not in need of sex as a way to affirm our love.

If a couple don't enjoy spending time together without having sex , it's the greatest "red flag" ever - i.e. clear sign that they shouldn't be having sex , anyway.

I mean too many ppl put sex as a focal point in a relationship & if something happens that sex cannot happen (health, accident, et cetera... ) the relationship dies.
If you can get along dating without sex then eventually you can choose take it to that level and I imagine it would be beyond your wildest dreams.
Sex should be a nice additive to a great relationship. Not the starting/focal point.

I think people are missing the "indefinately" part,
if I was dating a woman, and something happened to her ( or me) which made sex impossible, I would hope I would be able to still keep a relationship with her. It would be difficult, but manageable, I think
that being said, why would someone that's healthy decided to withhold sex forever?! Sex isn't everything in a relationship but it matters. I don't believe in rushing into sex, but eventually if I'm with someone romantically I want the option to be with them sexually

Dating hardly equals promiscuity. It's nothing but two people enjoying spending time together - i.e. activity partners ( rather than sex -partners).For example - if a person has decent table manners and is a good conversationist - he might make a fabulous dining partner.

You have to define what "sex" is. Intercourse, or any type of sexual activity (e.g., Bill and Monica)?
At this point in my life, I think the answer would be no. My first gf and I never did "it", but there was a lot of heavy petting involved.
That was many years ago. Now, it's the question for me is not whether we will do it, but how good is the sex?
