My first impulse is to say no. But that's not an absolute no...if I 'felt' something very strong at the beginning, (as in if it happened to be the guy I'm with now), then I'd continue.

Ahhh, the only good thing about being around an infected person is popping their sores with a sewing needle.
In other words beware of revealing your disease or prepare to say ouch.

Would I date them? If I enjoyed her company, then yes. I'm not so certain that I would get involved with her physically, but yes, I would date her.

This actually happened to me. A guy told me on the first date he had herpes. I researched it and decided to continue to date him. He was on Valtrex. We dated for a year, only had protected sex and he never had an outbreak. When we broke up I had a test to make sure I was clean. I was...what did it teach me? That even when you think something is going to last forever..it doesn't!
Made me think twice about accepting someone with an STD again.

If I was absolutely sure I was going to spend my life with that person maybe; but if they informed me after we were already intimate, I would want to hurt them for putting my health in jeopardy. Unfortunately, even if you are safe, there is a possibility of contracting herpes.

Hell no. They even have "Herpes dating sites now, it's so prevalent. Did you know over 20% of sexually active people have it? That's scary, and the number is significantly higher in minorities.
