Probably the biggest difference between men and women -- sexually -- is that most women can get as much sex as they want any time they want it, and men cannot. Since people became "civilized," men have not had that luxury. I've often thought about what a different perspective of the world women must have because of this. It's difficult for a man to comprehend.
So let's face it. For a woman, it's not hard to imagine that affection would be a rarer commodity to come by than sex (Although good sex may be a different matter.).
But I don't think that women are the only ones who feel a dearth of affection as compared to the availability of sex.
I'd never pay a woman for sex. But I'd gladly pay one to hold my arm as we walk down the street, touch my face while we kiss, or rest her head on my shoulder at the movies.
Affection, it's what's missing.

I don't agree with the whole statement about men cannot get sex as much as they want, getting sex has never ever been a problem for me, but is it what I want or look for? Hell no.
I might talk about sex or mention it all the time on here and even in person but I'm not a walking hard on with a completely one track mind nor do I look for someone who is willing to lay down and spread their legs in a heartbeat. Most men and I don't give a shit who you are or try to say want affection and seek it. All sexes go through stages where getting a good fuk is a what is sought but that isn't a long term thing, just a way of helping with a now situation. There is no emotion, feelings or care involved and why its called a one night stand, we are able to walk away without a second thought. In the end its the closeness, sharing, love, spark and everything else involved in a relationship which is what brings out the best in us and makes us happy

ANYONE can get as much sex as their please...just depends on the quality you would like. bar is rather close for most people...just put your beer goggles on!!

I can have sex for the sake of having sex...but I am a HUGE affection slut. I can not just snuggle up with anyone for the sake of snuggling, not unless i know they actually care about me and i care about them. otherwise if just feels like a cheap attempt to get into my panties!

My last relationship was like this, we'd been together for so long...there was absolutely NOTHING there anymore. No passion, no anything. And I hated it. Yeah, we could have sex, but without the affection and passion that came with it, it was...........not good

If the affection is there, the sex will follow...........and I agree it doesn't work the other way around......So go for the affection, if you do it right, you should end up with both...

I thought affection is a sensitive girly kind of emotion or something that a puppy seeks.
