A question about Lesbians |

Not dising anyone’s sexual preferences, just have an inquisitive mind and would like to discuss this subject without anyone thinking I’m picking on anyone. I have few Lesbian acquaintances and have discussed many topics but a couple things aren’t really clear to me, so it is up for discussion.
If lesbians believe in a relationship absent of any man, then why does atleast one out of the two in this relationship, act and dress like the man? Just wondering why you would want to emulate someone that you are discounting as important in your relationship. I would guess a lesbian, someone that is really attracted to women, would be attracted to the femininity of a women, not masculinity as expressed in dress and behavior by many lesbians.
I’m going to suggest if a women, in order to be attracted to another women, the other women would have to dress and act like a man, then maybe there is some level of attraction to men evident in that behavior, and for whatever reason, say maybe abuse from a past male relationship, keeps her from a standard male female relationship because of lack of trust of the male.

Pam - you're a brat!
Kenn - isn't the same true of gay male relationships as well, in that one of the partners is typically a bit more effeminate than the other?

I guess you are right, although I haven't seen gay men dress like women, as seen in reverse in lesbians ,sometimes Gay men do act even more fem than most women I've known.

And you can't discount the humor and creativity of gay men.
Your thinking too much is part of your charm.

That's true. I haven't seen any gay men dress like women, either, and I know several. I only know a couple of lesbian couples, but it does seem like one of them does dress in a more masculine manner.....interesting, I never really thought about it before.... (which may be a good thing for me!)
And you can't discount the humor and creativity of gay men. And just why do you think people call them gay????

I think this might be where I'm going wrong, Jester. Find myself a nice gay man and he can be my boyfriend AND my creative girlfriend, and so what if there's no sex? There's no sex now, so I'd have everything to gain and nothing to lose.

My guess is that she just hasn't met the type of man that is able to give her the type of intimacy she desires. It might be a case where she enjoys the "softer" side of women, yet chooses something completely different in a man. And if she met a man that was "more in touch with himself", shall we say, perhaps she wouldn't feel that the type of intimacy she desires was only available from a woman.
Just....a thought...........
