~ Link ~A 25-year-old woman was arrested for investigation of second-degree assault for getting into an argument with her boyfriend over whether his dog should be in the bathroom while the couple were taking a shower together. A police report said the man, 26, wanted his dog to join them in the bathroom, but the woman objected on Thursday night. The woman told her boyfriend that if the dog doesn't stay out, she didn't want to be his girlfriend anymore. He replied that maybe his next girlfriend would appreciate the dog more, and called her a name. The police report said the woman punched him in the face several times and the man dislocated his shoulder after the naked couple grappled. He told police his girlfriend threw a picture frame, which broke and cut him. The woman was taken to the Kitsap County Jail in Port Orchard. Bail has been set at $50,000.
should the dog have been allowed in the bathroom?
what do you think she should be charged with... a felony or a misdemeanor?

The bail is kinda high for a domestic assault charge. There has to be more going on.
one question....

I thought so too, but then I checked out some of Kitsap County's Jail Roster......their bond amounts are HIGH in comparison to where I live!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My dog will follow you into the bathroom, rams his head into the door....just..... right, and it pops open. If not, he will lay outside the door until you are done. He will lay under the coffee table while you are watching TV, outside the kitchen when ANYBODY is in there. He loves to be around people. He will lay next to the car as you change the oil.. Under your chair if your are on the puter, even at the bonfire...
I just got out of the shower, and he got up ( big deal when he first wakes up ) and moved 5 ft to lay next to the shower. He is always within a 5-10 ft radius of me. It just makes him more comfortable. I see nothing perverted about it? It's just his personality. And suddenly changing what he is used to to conform to the girlfriends wishes, isn't exactly fair. You can't just sit him down and explain it to him. He is doing what he is used to. But fighting about it is just stupid. Sounds to me she may be a little jealous of the relationship between the man and his dog.. This may be the straw that broke the camels back, but it seems to me there must a bigger problem than just the dog.
It can be hard to accept someones else's dog as your own.. But if you can, the love that is shared can only be equaled by a child... which of course is totally different, but not any less important. My dog has seen me through many relationships. I watched him bond with each one in his own way. Once they realized we were a package deal, it touch my heart to watch them bond... It added a whole new level to our relationship. Watching how a woman treats my dog, is a window to her soul.
Ok, back on topic..... if she can't handle sitting down and talking about the dog, she probably can't talk about much else either.... Kick her to the curb... you will thank me later.

Oh, I really think there is more to the story...
The way this is written leaves much to interpretation. My dog follows me all of the time, but no bathroom and no bed.
I guess it boils down to personal choice, and how pets are trained!

I can understand Blue....because my cat follow me everywhere.
I pay attention he doesn't bother guests, he doesn't jump on the table while we eat....ecc ecc and all my friends love him and look for him.

..just the facts ma'am...just the facts
1) they were going to take a shower together...
2) he wanted the dog in the bathroom..
3) she didn't
4) blows were thrown...
5) the police got involved
6) she was arrested for assault...
7) (they were still naked in the bathroom when the police arrived..)

Sounds more like he doesn't care if the dog is in the bathroom.....she did.... This came to blows? Having the dog in the bathroom is nothing to fight over... All 3 taking a shower ......... now that sounds perverted....
Maybe it depends on the size of the bathroom. My master bath is huge. Separate shower and tub, he loves to lay between the toilet and the tub, especially during the summer.. It is always nice and cool there... My shower is 6-8ft away... I don't see it as a big deal. At least not big enough to throw punches over? What else have they fought over? Or what is next?

would you threaten to break up with her, and call her a "name" ( btw..I am sure the police report stated just what the name was..and I am betting it was not a "female dog"... )

I think it would depend on what we were going to do in the shower. If we were going to be intimate or there was a chance of it, I think I would much rather the dog didn't hang around to watch.
