Am I just paranoid or is there this trend toward older women ie in their forties (forget even thirties) esp. by younger guys like in their twenties? Maybe I'm insecure cause I never felt this way when I was younger?

i guess you are right in a few instances but usually when the desire is an actual relationship we gravitate unto our own. as for dating, i prefer the company of a woman 10 years or so on either side of my age. i like to think i am able to distinguish between dating and a relationship. i don't have a problem dating just about any age as long as communication isn't a problem. as for diagnosing "mental" problems with one or both people in a age difference, i'm sure that there are many armchair psychologists who will agree or disagree with you. one simple answer as to why is that the older woman is not so "clingy" or posessive.

I don't know what the dating trend currently is. But from my own experiences, I always enjoyed the company of older woman. Whether for friendship or relationships, for me I found that I learned a lot about life from them. I appreciate their maturity. I dated several older women back in the day and eventually married someone two years older. When I was 22 I dated a women in her early 30's. For whatever reason, I found older women more interesting, insightful and certainly more secure and confident in themselves. Not to mention that they are very sexy!

Age has nothing to do with it. Heart, and mind does.
Just because shes older, doesnt make her better.
A great heart and a strong mind makes the better lover.
Sex is sex, the end reslutes are pretty much like one and the next. Its the before and after that important. The price of the package may just not be worth it.
Mental and Emotional instabilty is so very unattractive at any age.

older women are attractive to young men because they have a certain amount of experience (usually) in the sack and also aren't (usually) out for a relationship, basically the young guys are looking for no strings attached sex...also older women sometimes go for younger men so that they can feel younger, or at least feel attractive still, being with a younger guy makes them feel like they've still got it. these are not universal, but are a generalization of the setup...myself i've actually been with a women old enough to be my grandmother (chronologically anyway, my mother was too old when she had me to make it likely for that to be true) and we had a great time of it...and honestly she didn't even look that old...she could easily pass as someone 20 years younger

I've met a really nice 27 yr old man on here. We talk all the time and I will probably meet him next time I go home. Friends...that's it...he's a nice guy, I enjoy talking to him. What is his motivation?? Who knows....
Are you saying that the only motivation for a young man to approach an older woman is for sex? That may be the case the majority of the time, but certainly not all the time. I know and am friends with many younger men. There has never been a time that sex has come up in conversation except in a joking manner. Perhaps they just like to converse with a women who will not judge them harshly or that they can actually hold a conversation with????
