Hmm reading through all the comments I have to wonder what is wrong with me. I accidently fell for a guy that is 24 years younger than me. We started off friends for a couple of years and we have been living together for the past 7 years. The past 7 years have been the best of my life (I was married for over 17 years to cheating couch potatoe). He is very mature (or should I say I am still very immature  ) Either way we are still going strong!!

For me I need to relate and connect intellectually and physically. That's hard to do with a big age difference. It also doesn't go effortlessly if someone is aged a lot more than me. I've seen people exactly my age that look 10 years older than I do.
Then there's people like willowy1 (just an example, not trying to hit ROFL) that don't look a day over 28 that are pretty close to my age. Age means less in those situations because nobody bothers asking 
At the end of the day, it's your life. What you do with it is up to you. My grandmother (RIP) said "It doesn't really matter what you do as long as you are happy, because none of us are getting out of here alive." She used more colorful language but this board is mixed company =D
If you come from a tight family, a big age diff is a little harder to swallow since you care what they think and if they don't approve, it will impact your happiness. If you don't care what they think, it doesn't matter at all. Just make sure you know the difference.

I have to admit that I recently dated a young woman that was 23, just out of college. We worked for the same company and met during meetings and things. We started talking with each other, we had fun so we decided to go out. We had alot of fun and our conversations were long and kept both of our attentions. I treated her with respect and not just as a piece of fresh meat, and she appreciated that. We both knew that the relationship wouldn't be for a life time, but we had fun, enjoyed each other for that time.. My lifestyle doesn't go well with having children, so most older women never seem to work out, but I enjoy their company as well. I think it depends on the people involved, not the age so much.

Hell yeah age matters :)
who wants to go out with someone much younger or older, yuck to that.
10 years either way is a bit much, unless of course he is 10 years older and rich. haha... and very good looking.
I could "MAYBE" make an exception then.
but I found my sweetheart now and no longer looking. If I was looking I'd stay around my age.

I never really thought about it, but my last male friend was 16 years older than me and now that I think about it I have never dated someone younger than me...interesting....maybe subconciously I don't want to date someone my daughter would consider dating as well?....

Nope, for the simple fact that some men can be 45 years old and act like children. While some men can be in their 20's and 30's and act twice the age of their "elders."

I've never been interested in women my own age.
When I was younger, I was only interested in dating older women.
Now that I am older, I am only interested in dating younger women.
So yes, age matters to me when it comes to romantic attraction. Outside of a certain age range, I am just not interested (romantically) no matter what.

The guy I've been seeing for the past two years is almost 19 years younger than I am. We enjoy each other's company, have plenty in common, are physically attracted to each other. Who is anyone else to judge us?
