Why would seemingly strong, successful women like Hilary Clinton and Cheryl Cole forgive their men when they've been unfaithful, are they right to do so, and can they ever really forget?
Could you have sex with someone else when you're still in love with your partner?

No, I don't think you could be in love...hence the affair. Something's wrong and it should be fixed. However, I think it's easier to forgive if the partner comes clean. If it's discovered...then anger and hurt get mixed up in it, rationality goes out the window, and the rifle gets pulled down off the wall.

you can't reach the rifle on the wall  ...even with a step ladder.
i think women are able to forgive because of the hooker/home theory. a man will be a man so if he goes out and f***s something he better not bring it home. if he tries to replace you with the hooker, crucify him.
as long as they don't mess with your home, all can be worked on...or something like that....

LOL well I was speaking theoretically. (damn, I have NO idea if that is spelled right) Like I said...I've never been cheated on. Although, I also don't usually stick around long enough to give an opportunity. Except the marriage...

hooker/home theory Interesting theory...many women feel "stuck" in their relationships as they don't feel they can support themselves and children without their husbands. Very sad. Or, they feel that the children are better off with dad in the home, or prefer to keep their current lifestyle, thus they forgive. Personally, if a man cheats once, he'll cheat again...kick his ass packin and get on with life...who needs the drama, trauma, and stress!!! Dealt with it before, never again...

I just think that none of us are perfect and shit happens. If we don't have forgiveness, compassion and understanding in our hearts, what do we have?
It's easy to throw stones, but, no one REALLY knows what they would do untill they are actually IN that situation. Ya know?
I'm not saying you have to take that person back, but, would you rather not be told and get some STD or at least know the person you were with cared about you enough to even frikin tell you.
