Ok, so I'm recently single and have been reading some online guides to get back into the dating scene. Not so much a serious relationship, but definitely casual flirting and dating. In this online guide called "Succeed With Women" the author says the following:
Women want to be seduced and romanced. Do you really think they are looking
for “nice” guys?
I have always been the nice guy who uses his sense of humor to attract women. I've never been an aggressive guy that seduces women, but do women find this quality attractive? Are you more receptive to this behavior? I would appreciate your comments. Thanks!
Aside from this comment, the guide is pretty great and I would recommend it to other single guys. You can get it here...

The seducer every time...they're pro's at conning women. Might take months to see through them...by that time the nice guy you should have picked, is long gone.

I enjoy meeting new people and never have an issue talking with women. I do however lack the assertiveness that would probably result in more dates or intimate encounters. This was the purpose of my question. Does it pay off to be aggressive (in a nice way) when you first meet women?

Does it pay off to be aggressive (in a nice way) when you first meet women? What degree of assertiveness are you talking about? Being witty and humorous is a sure attraction.
