I think we all have a basic idea, but from what I have heard, 3 rd base can mean a few different things.
How do you define the bases?
first base= kissing
second base=caressing
third base=oral sex
home=all the way
1ST BASE = KISSING
2ND BASE = FEELING HER BREASTS
3RD BASE = HANDS IN HER PANTS, FINGERING HER VAGINA
HOME RUN = SLIDING INTO HOME. HAVING SEXUAL INTERCOURSE
1st Base = Kissing
2nd Base = Touching, groping, getting felt up, heavy kissing and fooling around
3rd Base = Oral sex
Home run = SEX
1st base = kissing
2nd base = fondling the girl’s breasts
3rd base = fondling the girl’s crotch
4th base (home) (called “Scoring” or “going all the way”) = having sex.
Funny how most people assume they understand a definition, but either are afraid to ask, or it means different things to different people, or even a different part of the country .

I always liked the way Meatloaf's "Paradise by the Dashboard Lights" integrated the baseball play by play while they're making out .... not that it really defines each stage, or "base", but still cool nonetheless ....
"Who's on First" sums it up for me .....

The ultimate objective is to score and here is how it is done:
First you approach a mound, eventually this leads to landing your bat and balls into the dugout. Also there's lots sliding during the ins and outs. Things can get kind of dirty.
You'll meet players, or people that might have switched teams. Some players chew each other out. Sometimes you carry a glove for protection. If the balls appear fowl, then you'll just have to live with that. If there are legit concerns then it is best to send a player walking (foul balls could be a factor).
Those are just some of the basics.

Ah.. back in the day this thread would have had pages by now.......... Oh well.
This thread started from a slip of the tongue........ I was on the phone with a woman and was trying to set up a second date, but our schedules were not matching up.....
She simply said, " touch my base tomorrow." ......... instead of ( touch base with me tomorrow) ,  and I simply replied, " I would love to touch your base " where she realized what she had said, and what I had replied and it just got us to laughing.....
Then we started to discuss what the bases were, and realized, we had different views on third...
Although once she stated that third was oral............ I asked that since I already got to first, could I touch up, steal second and go for third....... She laughed and said, why don't we work on me touching her base first and see what happens.....
Ok, we still have not re connected, but we did have a great laugh, and an even better conversation on the phone....

3rd base is a hand in the panties.
Think about it, the object is to "score a run" (aka cum). A homerun allows you to cross the plate and "score a run" (because a homerun is the act of sex).
Now lets extrapolate that line of thinking to 3rd base. If we consider 3rd base to be oral sex, how can you explain "scoring a run" (aka cumming in her mouth) from 3rd base?!?! It cant happen!! You have to cross HOME PLATE to score a run.

Maybe thats where they got the name for the band!! They were in bed and only had one dog....it was lonely...so then they tried two....not much better. Its a THREE DOG NIGHT!!!! Hell yeah!

I think I would go with the flow...I wouldn't do someone on the first date...But I don't think I'd go through a run down of how far I'll let you get each time
