cameras sure add hotness. totally agree with jeff cos most women look hot on pics but you see something diff when you meet them in person...........no offense girls but I think all of you gals on here look great

Cameras can also do the opposite. And I think I know what Jeff and Will are talking about, Painter. And since over the years, I've met both men and women posters (group get togethers, etc.), I'd have to agree with Will. A picture very rarely captures the real essence of a person. That's one reason why, although I don't think they are the best pictures of me - I'm not "photogenic", I put pics on my profile that show me in different circumstances, not just one. One at work (business casual), one at home (informal), one from my son's wedding, one from a union march in Miami (cutting loose and having a great time). To me, I look different in each one to some extent. And I put the most recent pic as the main one.
I will say that I've been "lucky" in that the people I have met over the years from the internet (not just dates) have all remarked that I look much better in person. I don't agree, but my son has even said the same thing. So I must have a personality or something that comes through in person that does not show from a picture. Not a physical beauty really, because I'm certainly only about average in looks, if that. So the same would hold true for others.
I think most people try to post their "best photo". Sometimes that backfires. If somebody can still like me looking my worst, then they will certainly be pleasantly surprised later.
I hate to say it, but I have indeed met more women than men in person where I thought to myself "who were you trying to kid with the glamour shot you had on YOUR personal ad?" (or that they shared with others.) Sad, but true. Gotta side with the guys on this one!

I've never been photogenic. That's why it took so long to get a pic posted. I had to wait til somebody took one that looked ok to me. Plus I am almost always the one holding the camera.
If you look in the sister thread on hottest men, I stated my opinion-threads like this are wrong-they pick some people up while ignoring some truly beautiful people. I hope nobody asks for that again.
We are ALL beautiful-the men AND the women.
