Most Definitely there is such a thing as Bad Sex!!!
There can be a number of reasons for that, one of them is inexperience or lack of knowledge or awareness. There are many others. Every partner is a very different experience. But that wasn't the question asked.
So the answer is "No. That rumor isn't even close to true"..

Yes there is bad sex! There can be lots of reasons for bad sex. Here are just a few:
1. Lack of experience
2. Unwilling to experiment
3. Problems between both people
4. Plenty of experience, just a really horrible lay
5. Lack of enthusiasm
6. One partner has been raised to think of sex as dirty and evil.
7. You didnt get her what she wanted at the mall
8. One of theose nights when nothing seems to go right.
9. your partner is just giving you sex to shut you up
10. One of the partners is under a lot of stress.
11. Many more!!!

Its hard to talk about - in the sense that its hard to think about in a straight line from good to bad. The words just don't leave enough to room to answer the question. There is such a think as sex that is not very good, there is sex when there are awkward feelings or secrets, there is omigod I'm sunburnt sex, there is drunk sex, there is I'll try it but I might not like it sex & there is 'how about we just hop in the shower for a bit' / hey, would you like to borrow my toothbrush sex - which is discussed in detail in a number of posts.
Then there is a complex variety of good, great & amazing sex in all sorts of directions which can combine successfullly with a little bit of any or all of the above...
In any case, it has been my experience since just after my 16th birthday that my own physical / mental / emotional responses to all sex is so vivid & startling that its hard to be dispasionate about it.
On the other hand...
Really good sex is exponentially evokes an exponentially bigger response.
So, there is awful sex - like stopping halfway to break up.
The is conditionally good sex - this was a bother but otherwise...
But good sex is so worth it that *doing something - whatever is necessary*, to turn ok sex into great sex is soooo worth it.
I'm not sure that there is such a thing as bad sex.

Well there is good sex, bad sex, and hallway sex. Good sex is when you rip each others clothes off when ever you are near each other and make passionate love. Bad sex is when you have sex out of routine. Hallway sex is when you pass each other in the hall and yell "F&$k You"

I must be really lucky because I've never experienced bad sex.I've had lousy relationships,but then when the sex happened it was always good.I've had OK,or fair sex and I've had really awesome sex,but never what I would call bad sex.The ones mentioned above about poor hygiene have never happened ,I guess because I've been lucky and if a woman had bad enough hygiene to notice before she was undressed,then it would've never gone that far.Never had the sex where the other party "wasn't there" because if she wasn't into it,it just wasn't happening.I've had professionals before and you know going into it that her motivation was just money,but so what?She's being paid to give a good ride and you should get what you pay for.I guess you could say it was bad sex if you got a dose of an STD,but then just because you had a bad result from the sex,doesn't necessarily mean the sex was bad in and of itself.I've been very fortunate in that respect too,never gotten a dose.
I've been lucky in that respect I suppose.

Why is the question just directed towards the men?? I think plenty women have had bad sex and as said before...when you are thinking about someone else or thinking about anything but sex and pushing out fake moans praying to f-ing god he is about done...it is bad!

For a man... what is "sex" really? For how many men is "sex" just the moment when a woman indicates that she wants to BE sexed by a man. After that isn't it all just gravy whether anything significant or GOOD happens physically? for a purely self centered and poorly schooled and trained guy... it's all about his excitement and the green light the woman has given somehow. And then it's all about where the man sees the end point of his journey. Does he just get to the point where HE acheives joy? Or does he allow the woman to come with him on a longer journey where the end is not immediately in sight. I suppose the difference between these two visions of what constitutes good sex is what divides a man who says "any lovin' is good lovin'" and a woman who says " i want the fantasy!"
