There is a silver cloud in the moonlit night,
Where two golden threads hang down:
To suspend a cushion within a swing,
And a maiden in a silken gown.
She gazes dreamily at the stars aloft,
With fantasies divine,
That she is as a flower, petals spread,
Sweet as a glass of sparkling wine.
A lover comes to taste the sweetness
Of her infatuation,
Perfect stallion of a man indeed,
That ravishes her sweet oblation.
So she who wishes only in a dream,
Receives ten thousand real kisses,
Coursing through her veins as liquid fire,
Which lift her to the heights of unknown blisses
All the world hears the thunder of his laughter,
And sees the lightning of his caress,
As he draws her forth,
And lifts her dress.
Ecstacy explodes her mind and curls her toes.
She digs her nails into reality;
Then wraps her arms around this perfect love,
To hold him for infinity
Relentless in the passions of his conquest,
This airborne warrior of the sky,
Consumes her every whispered, wanton thought.
Entwined in love... to lofty heights they fly

Wow... I will never look at lightning or hear thunder in the same manner ever again.. this is what will come to mind when next I experience these two phenonemums.

With language like that its a shame that lightening didnt miss your brother and hit you.
Maybe I shouldnt of just said that to you but I know you shouldnt of just said that to her.

Dear Jim, My great grandfather was also killed by lightening and that is not a joke. It only illustrates the tremendous power involved in this phoenomenon. Thunder, lightening and not even death are "evil" factors of or by themselves. As you have well illustrated, each is a medium of transition.
Thanks Jankia for your attention to the language factor here. I see no need to degrade this site by bad attitudes or language, regardless of anyone's personal feelings.

I like Thunderstorms..... now electrical storms.... that's different. I got nailed (not directly) during one. I could see, but couldn't hear. My brother in law was sitting about 10 feet away and I could see him laughing like crazy. When it stopped I said "I could have been killed and you're laughing"
He said "it was too funny, your hair was standing straight out. Besides, if you had got killed, I would have stopped laughing."
He's such a thoughtful person.
