^^ I agree to a point, but both parties should be willing to travel if they want the relationship to work.

If you're looking for the REAL love and haven't found it in your own backyard, possibly it's time to look in someone else's!! I don't location should be a factor when looking for the person you are going to spend your life with.

Alright, I'm gonna be difficult. Yes, it does. If you really wanna be part of one another's lives, distance will be an issue. Hell, distance can even cause a relationship to move too quickly if one person decides to move closer to the other. I really feel strongly that if you're going to move...it needs to be for YOU.

Yup. I'm here.
And I love to snuggle.....often.
So if you're "there" and I'm "here".....that makes snuggling kinda hard to do.

i dont think distance makes a difference...if you find someone on here and you're really into them .i couldnt see not taking it to the next step just because someone lived a great distance away

You cant tell your heart the distance it may need to travel.....Wherever he may be my heart will know it and we will figure out what needs to happen when that time comes around.

Yes it does, IMO.
Having a long distance "relationship" is like having a relationship with a phantom.....can't get to know him "up close and personal", touch him, dance with him, kiss him, hold hands...that face to face, day to day personal sharing of lives in "real time" just isn't there.....doesn't work for me anyway.
It has never worked for me. Thought I'd recently give it one more shot and gave it my all.....the distance was too great to make anything real happen.

Distance was an issue for me up until 3 months ago. It most certainly wasn't a life long committal type of situation as that is not what I'm craving or even seeking. The trip was simply to meet a woman that I found to be very attractive, intellectually stimulating, with a great sense of humor. To have a committed long term relationship from 300 miles wouldn't be for me, again it wouldn't be for me if it was across the street. Would I do it again....certainly and I did. To enjoy each others company..... most certainly.
I feel as though it may depends upon what one is actaully seeking. Some of us are extremely busy with professions, commitments etc. in our own areas or cities to travel often per recreational purposes, that being "dating".

Nope it doesn't matter, if you are in the right stage of your life.
Hm,,2400 miles,,,,It sure didn't seem like it back then. He was always in my dreams, my thoughts too.
Got to admit the cell phone bills were high though...

a long distance relationship wont work if you never see each other, hell thats not even a relationship to begin with.
but if you're able to see each other, then yes it can work.....i live in louisiana and i dated a woman for a year and a half that lived in chicago and we managed to make it work..we would take turns flying out on weekends to be with each other.
i would fly out on the 1st and 3rd weekends and she would fly down here on the 2nd and 4th weekends, when we did break up, the distance wasnt the factor.
so i say yes, a long distance relationship can work
