after, I think the man should, am I wrong?

yes you are wrong! If you are thinkig about contact(calling email etc..) and not following thorugh its because you are pre-programmed to expect a certain response from the man. let all that go and be yourself. you WANT to call the guy..dang it call him!!!!!!!!!!

Yes you are wrong! There is no reason why it shouldn't be the man to call first, but there is also no reason why it shouldn't be the woman either!! If you wanna call someone, then call them, it makes no difference whether you are the man or the woman!

is there a rule which stipulates this or what? why do you think the man should and not the woman? you both got laid, it was great and I guess things were even. I think anyone of you should call or better still, just let things work itself out.

I will be honest. I DO make the call since I am the guy. BUT I dont believe I am EXPECTED to call. I do so of my own accord.

Honestly, China, I will not have actual sexual intercourse until years into a relationship. So at that point, he or she will be calling me at 7 o'clock or coming over at some point in the day anyway.

Remembering WAY back...it seems to me the man said, "I'll call you." In that case, I didn't feel it was appropriate to call him. I'm kind of old fashioned that way. I think it is the man's place to call a woman. I always felt a woman calling a man had a hint of desperation to it. I can see by most of the men's replies, times have changed.

Lip gloss, I think he asked a valid question ONLY because so much has changed concerning perception Women are much more liberated as a whole and more "themselves" and dont NEED a man and many are quick to verbalize it. yet when a woman sleeps with a guy (at least in the case with the OP) it appears there is an expectation from the man to make the 1st call..regardless of who made the 1st move that landed them in bed in the 1st place.

classy...., your case is different cos the guy promised calling ya....oh no you said it seemed but what's up? I don't get it. is there a rule?
I think only a jerk or a dumbass would think that the woman is deperate or needy if she called first. I always appreciate it whole heartedly when she calls back first. this tells me alot about her personality and integrity but not desperation for crying out loud.

Kinglouis...I won't call back first after dates or anything like that either. I just don't do it. It doesn't matter if the person I'm dating is a guy or a girl, so it's not the whole..."the guy has to do this" thing...I just don't want to call first. And I tell the person I go out with that right after phone numbers are exchanged.
And this thread seems to pertain to casual sex, which I do not believe in and personally think is disgusting. Like I said, if I have sex, it will be years into a committed and serious relationship, so chances are the man or woman would be calling me anyway or coming over, or I'd have no problem calling them because it would be routine.

Well there ya go. In that case If i were interested in another encounter I WOULD call understanding that.
Also its cool how you feel about casual sex..no problem there. i dont share that view but I CAN understand how the expectation of the call could be differnt if you have laready known the person for quite some time.

As I hinted before, it has been a long time since I delved in any casual sex. I believe it used to be an unspoken law, the man called first. It was considered proper etiquette. Times have certainly changed.
I'm actually pleased to see the majority of the men posting here saying they enjoy being called by the woman. If I ever get frisky again, I'll keep that in mind.
