When do you get a soul?

I would really like to know the opinion on this one from the religious. At what point does a person obtain their "soul"? Is it conception? Birth? I'm just curious what, or if, the bible covers this.

The bible calls the combination of the "spirit" and the "body" a living soul. So the question is when does the spirit enter its vessel (body).
I think this is based on the contract that the spirit agrees to prior to entering the vessel. If the spirit wishes to experience the whole process of human creation, the spirit may enter the sperm or the egg. If the spirit has experienced this in other lives, the spirit may enter the body at birth. There is no one answer to your question.

Interesting thread.
I believe it is through causation. The essence is attracted to the new body with the most receptive conditions that the spirit is attracted too. The continuance of karmic actions.

I think in Judaism there is something called a Guf, a kind of repository of souls. When the last soul is born, the messiah will appear.

The soul exists when life exists. The body and soul are one. I am sure you remember the Kingdom of God is within you threads. It mainly is an interpretation from various words in the Bible and Egyptian writings.
I hope you have a flak jacket, because people will kill on someone's answer. Now you are in the abortion thread. They are still fighting on the answer of when life actually begins so that abortion is not illegal.
I shall go back to my foxhole now.....
