Well, we've seen the Jewish fanatics ignoring UN sanctions and interloping on the West Bank. We've seen Muslim fanatics learning how to martyr themselves by suicide and disrespecting women.
Tonight we see the Christian fanatics in action.

I've enjoyed the first two parts of this three part series and will definitely tune in tonight.
I think CNN has done a good job presenting both sides of the issue.
Hopefully, YouTube will have excerpts available on these broadcasts. It will make it make posts to a new thread on the subject easier.
Thanks for informing the R&S Forum population about this interesting series.
Peace

Thank you Sail. You're one of the few who actually appreciate being informed. I'm sure there are others who saw the episodes but are afraid to talk about it.
I've watched the first two episodes and learn a few things I didn't know. Its amazing how so many people are brainwashed and willing to kill others and die for what they believe is the only truth.

I caught part of the Christianity report last night. It seemed balanced to me. Ms. Amanpour (not sure I spelled her name correctly) posed questions, allowed time for explanations, and didn't seem to pull any punches. It was interesting, but focused on evangelical ministries. Perhaps that was because of the political views that were being explored. As I said, I only saw part of it--about 1/2 to 3/4. There may have been some information at the beginning that would have framed the report around the evangelical viewpoint.

The part of Brian Hagee and his Texans singing the Isreali national anthem pissed me off.
Extremists of all sorts, Hindi, Buddhists, Jews, Christians, Moslems, and Athesiest are all dangerous.

These days I am constantly tuned to CNN and, after work one night, I, quite by mistake, caught the beginnings of the Islam section of God's Warriors. It was so good that I watched both hours with no prior intentions and irregardless of the time. Amanpour's reports are always so well-done that I don't know why I was so surprised at my interest despite feeling Islam'ed to death.

Check the schedule http://www.pbs.org/jewishamericans/about/watch.html
Its sad that Jews left Europe in 1650 to escape the Inquisitions in Spain only to meet rejection and bigotry in America. Guess by whom?
In 1818 a "Jew Bill" was passed giving Jews rights only reserved for Christians.

I've watched a few episodes and the way Jews were treated is worse than even I though. Some people stigmatize Jews for sticking together. Well, they must do so because they are forced to do so. I am 100% behind them in that regard. How can they easily trust when so many were against them? Most, if not all, of antisemitism stems from Christian dogma.

Most of the umbrage foisted onto Jews over time can be traced to what the Pope issued a Apologetic for in the 1980's. In his own words "It was not the Churches intent for that to happen", but then again there was no outright apology. tsk tsk
Now when someone like Bev usually comes up with the excuse oh that was the Catholics, just remember it was an Apologetic to what they NT claimed against the Jews.

How long after the Holocaust did it take the Church to drop the charge of Deicide against the Jews? This was an official stance. Martin Luther held the Protestant charge of the same accusation but also called for violence against them. Given his vocalness and coming out of the Catholic ranks, his hatred might have been similar to those within the Catholic church.

How conveniently they all forgot Jesus was not a Christian, he was a Jew sharing his philosophy with other Jews at the times he lived in.
Just more revisionist history.

Banned from The Bible In a 2-hour special, we scrutinize ancient writings that didn't "make the cut" in the battle to create a Christian Bible in the new religion's first few centuries. Biblical archaeologists and scholars examine why they were left out and if others might yet be found. Beginning with the little-known Life of Adam and Eve, we also peruse the Book of Jubilees, the Book of Enoch, the Gospel of Thomas, the Protevangelium of James, the Gospel of Mary, the Gospel of Nicodemus, and the Apocalypse of Peter You may want to check your local listings....

I hope someone will add this series to Youtube or abovepolitics.com.
