I've given this a lot of thought and have come up with some questions about sin and sinning that if answered could help clear up some of the confusion many people have. It seems like an important subject because the more we understand the better sinners we can be. I feel Christians would know more about this than anyone else since they seem to have the most experience with committing sin. So lets begin.
1) What possible sins are there that you can do without knowing? What good are they?
2) What kind of sins can you do every day with the least amount of effort?
3) How many sins are there of the kind you would want to do often?
4) Why repent for sins that produce such euphoria that any guilt becomes meaningless?
5) Can you borrow and lend sins and what would be the proper compensation to charge?
6) Can you exchange sins with a friend? For example, there is a next door neighbor who you are absolutely sure wants to commit adultery with you but you don't because its too close to home but you tell a friend about it. Does your friend earn the sin or do you?
6) Do sins have an expiration date like milk and other dairy products?
7) Can sins backfire? Meaning that if you attempt to commit a sin but turns out to be a non-sin or a good deed does it still count as sin?
8) Are sins sexually transmittable? If so would using a condom prevent the spread of sin? What is the alternative for Catholics?
9) Can sin be committed in utero?
10) Can sin be committed posthumously?
11) Can sins be frozen and thawed out for later use?
12) Can you commit sin while dreaming? That is, if you are sleeping and in REM dream state can you act out your sinful activity in the dream and earn points for when you wake up?
13) Who is the Guinness World Record holder for committing the most sins in 24 hours.
Please contribute your questions if I left anything out....

One at a time, and maybe you should start answering questions yourself. You know, on second thought, I am going to just play like you didn't ask these questions, that is what YOU do, yet you live up to your name and hammer everyone else to answer yours.

I can't answer them else why would I ask? You don't have to answer all of them. Just pick one or more of your favorites. They're not just for my benefit.

Why is murdering or molesting someone equal to stealing a paper clip sin wise?

Well if you drink too much you can't have sex. At least thats the way it works for guys. So wouldn't that make drinking a sin preventative. I would imagine that might be a moot point since the cursing would increase a whole lot.

If you, or anyone else for that matter, know the meaning of the word in the Greek, as it is stated, then your questions can all be easily answered. But of course most people, even those of like faith, have a hard time coming to grips with the total ramifications that this word carries with it.

Seal, I'm sure Ted understands what you mean but since you know the answers, pick a question or two and answer them.

Seal, I think you should know that greek is a sin. Ask Teddy. Since you know the answers, pick a question or two and answer them. If you are as wise as you pretend to be the answers to them all is in front of your face. Maybe you are blind. Seems that you are to me from the eternally negative rhetoric and lies you perpetuate here and probably every where you go.

Ok, fair enough, not, Ill answer another one of yours
.Can sins backfire? Meaning that if you attempt to commit a sin but turns out to be a non-sin or a good deed does it still count as sin? Yes, because that is what your heart intended it to be, God does know all afterall.

Hi Sweetheart83446. I'm not really certain about this. I get kinda confused about that kinda thing too. But I think it's got something to do with being obedient to God. (Or disobedient.)
Again, I'll emphasize that I'm not sure.
When we have our eyes wide open, and we have already learned in the Bible that God frowns on some kind of behavior. Yet we consciously do that thing--whatever it may be--(regardless if it's a pretty obvious big sin, like murder; or a not-so-obvious sin, like short-changing the paper-boy); then what God sees isn't so much our action. Rather, He notes our willful disobedience. And that's what matters most to Him.
I mean probably for a whole bunch of reasons murder is going to be pretty big in His eyes.
But since God's greatest desire is to be freely given love from each of us. And disobedience is clearly not an act of love.
Like I said, I'm not entirely certain about that either.
To me, it's kinda like the playing with fire principle. The safest bet--the best bet--is just to avoid coming in contact with the fire.

Sweatheart. I've worked in offices for decades and have taken lots of paper clips. What am I going to do? Does that mean I'm as bad as a mass murderer ?

LOL... for a moment there, I was thinking this should be in the sex talk threads.
I, personally, have never sinned.

Godless, Are you talking to Seal about his sense of humor? He does have a great sense of humor. He loves those mirrors you find in the Fun house. I always liked the one you stand in front of that makes you look short and fat. I think his favorite mirror is the one that makes your head look really big.
I wonder if its considered to sin to crack a mirror or is that another superstition?
