Is it through an act of grace on our own behalf that we allow Him to bless us?
Or is it through His love that we experience His blessings?
How is our gratitude expressed?
(If you don't believe He exists, then sorry, this really isn't the place for you.  )

Grace is one of our gifts from God so any giving of grace by us back to him and to our world is how our gratitude is expressed.

Yes it ceratinly is a "cycle of giving" to me Servant because everytime I expeirience a blessing myself it encourages me to share it and give more to others.

You guy's are something else. Why do you thnk that god needs grace from us? Talk about being egotistical!
Look up definitions of "grace" and you will find that it is a one way street, from god to mankind. God does not need grace from mankind and is probably insulted that you think he does.
It is amazing how christians keep making things up just to hear themselves talk or read their own nonsense.

Grace is one of our gifts from God so any giving of grace by us back to him and to our world is how our gratitude is expressed. It was you that said mankind gives grace back to god. I didn't make it up.
And just as everybody would expect, your buddy agrees with you and labels it "the cycle of giving".

Why do you have difficulty understanding this sail_dancer?
That is the cycle we were speaking of earlier.
Through Jesus Christ, each of us who believes in His sovereignty is given a measure of grace. And then they who receive the grace are able to share this grace with others.
By sharing the grace He first gave us, each of us is then equipped with a further blessing of grace, as a gift, from the Father.
So in effect, by sharing grace with others of His creation, we are givng Him something. We are returning to Him, that same grace that He gave us. (By being the conduits through which He gives grace.)

How is our Gratitude expressed?
God created man to Love him, With the specific Goal Of raising Sons and daughters up to him. He seeks our love , devotion and respect just as A husband seeks it from His Wife. God is to Man, as Man is To woman.
Just as woman rarely give these things to their husbands
Christians Rarely give these things to God.
He wants to Be Loved
If he is loved he will be obeyed.
We Cant Love him If We Dont Seek to know him.
His Word is the best Place to start. tossing aside all opinions of men asking God to teach lead and Guide.When You do this from A true heart, Hold on tight
you are in for an amazing Ride!

Janica was talking about mankind giving grace to god and I commented on it. You agreed with him so I included you in my response. So why were you lecturing me on giving to other people?

As we give thanks to God for the things we have, he blesses us. Then we that are blessed are to pass this on to others. This means all other people, not just Christians.
God blesses me, and I in turn bless other people.

Those are great posts! Although understanding God's grace is a divine grace. Human grace is mortal love and compassion we give to one another. So as like Jesus expressed once, "when I was naked did you not clothe me? When I was hungered did you not feed me?" He was referring to as we do these things to others, we do them to him out of love and compassion.

Okay, I ll take a shot at it. For when someones says but for the Grace of God go I, It is speaking from a point of humility. It is when I or a person understands their own human weakness's and limitations. It is Gods grace in whatever circumstance that you would respond to that is the recongition of His Grace and our weakness. I would also add to that personal choice and free will that leads us to His Grace.
