Picture A Glass of Water As pure and sparkling clear as your
imagination is capable of bringing to mind. Then Make it Purer still.

When God Created Man, He created him in his own Image.
And When He was created He was created pure

1)And God Formed Man of the dust of the earth
2)And Breathed into him The breath of life
3)And man Became A Living Soul

God shaped man of one of the Lowest substences posible
And then Breathed The Breath of Life into That Form.

In This Act We can see where That which is Physical
When embraced by that which is Spiritual, Has Profound
Possibilities.

Let me also bring something else out here before moving on.
The earthly side of man in itself is powerless against that
Which is spiritual in itself.

Notice Dust and life = A Living Soul
Now lets Touch on spirituality.
Spiritualty has two sides to it.

1)life,light,and Truth
2)Death, darkness, and lies

When Saten came to Eve in the Garden and said Thou shalt not surely die!
But you will be as God in that ye shall know good from evil.
Saten told a lie and a truth and he deceives in this way on a reguler
basis.
When Adam and eve ate the forbidden fruit
They Chose The Lie Over Truth.
They turned their back on God and embraced self
They were seperated from the Life by God
They were deceived by saten into opening themselves
to spiritual darkness by seperating themselves from the Light.
And death set in.

When the source of life and man were seperated it opened man
To spiritual darkness and death set in.
Life was so strong and pure in Adam that it took 930
years for him to die. But the life finally ended in death

We Today have been Given the power of Choice. Through the blood of Jesus Christ the Choice between Life and death, between Light and Darkness, between The Truth and A lie, Has been brought back to us.

We choose to believe in God and follow His teaching and grow in him
or not to every day. The decisions we make either strengthen us in Light or weeken us in darkness. But the Choices that lead us back to what we were called to be by God are still ours to make.
We choose right we reap the blessings, we choose wrong we choose
darkness over light and inevitably the curse. Christ brought back to us the life and it empowers us to choose rightly the things in our lives. Yet It is up to us to make the right choices. Some will tell you say a little prayer and All will be well no matter the choices you make from that day forword. I tell you God living in us empowers us to choose rightly everyday. And he sees our hearts. He knows our intententions. Are we striving to grow in him. Or are we seeking to serve our selves. Choose you this day whom you will serve. And tommorow, and the day after that and so on.
He said be ye in the World but not of it. Its time to grow up in God people.
God is Alive and well. He wants to come and live in your Hearts today. You have seen what the world has to offer. Hurt ,pain and selfishness. Greed and hate all around.
Wouldn't you like to know what Love is about? Wouldnt you like to taste
the fruit that grows on the tree of life? Ask Jesus for forgiveness and turn away from the Darkness all around! The light Just Waits for Your Embrace.
Choose you this Day whom you will serve! A Beautiful future lies ahead.
There is peace and Love and Contentment. And It is found Through the reuniting of our Souls with Life and light and Truth. The Darkness will scream its Lies to deceive you
But God is waiting with his arms open wide. You have the power to choose A better life for yourself. I'ts A god Given choice.
CHOOSE YOU THIS DAY WHOM YOU WILL SERVE!
The choice is yours. The rewards and penalties of your choices are yours as well.

Ya know, all of us are searching and seeking for something. What we find is unique and, often, not wrong.

Don't your eyes have to be opened to see anything? Some people have to wear glasses but their eyes are opened wearing them. I can't see how anyone can see with their eyes closed. Perhaps if you're already blind then its OK. A famous blind person once said, "Sometimes it is eyes that blind a man". Very profound. I think that was Master Po.

CHOOSE YOU THIS DAY WHOM YOU WILL SERVE!

I previously chose who I serve...only a loving God. I refuse to serve an unloving God, My choice separates the egocentric, maniacal, and genocidic god you uphold with bible inerrancy from the God of love. Secondly, your inerrant book states we were created in the image and likeness of God, and Jesus I believe declared three time that in what sounds like his utter amazement, "Don't you know that you are Gods? Of course I could be declared out of context or lost in allegory or metaphor..

I like to remember that if I was born Jewish, Hindu, or Islam I would have a similiar belief system from parents that would be as rightious as a christian view. A rastaman told me yesterday that my god comes from whatever family I was born into. The monotheistic religions are completely irreconcilible as they are now believed. None will give up the right to kill any of the others as believers in a demon god. And while we don't see in the forums the taking of life, we see attacks of insult and sarcasm. Other belief held with as much faith as ours are labeled heretic and apostate and evil. And sarcasm...once I learned that its origin is from a Greek word meaning "cuts with a knofe", I quit using it against others.

when you say jesus said we are Gods three times you definitly misquote.
we dont rewrite the bible to fit our desires. and Growing in God is done one
day at a time , one step at a time. We are not Gods. we have been Given power to become Sons of god. In order to do so the darkness and our dust(ourearthly side) must be subdued. God told us to Subdue The earth. we are meant to overcome our flesh and its weeknesses. you Cannot embrace wickedness and grow to this place in God. Light exposes darkness.
The sword of truth is our weapon and It cuts both ways. even to the deviding asunder of the soul. yet the truth must be embraced and spoken. The devil will try to tell us we should have sypathy for wickedness. I say we should love those lost in darkness enough to give them the truth needed to help pull them carefully from the fire and point them in the right direction.
The Bible says "The lord is a consuming fire". He is to the darkness in our lives.
his truth shines a light on darkness and the wickedness in our lives, and The lives of others others is exposed. The brighter our light shines for Jesus the more the wicked will hate and fear us. Their conceince screams their wickedness at them and wont allow them to live in darkness in peace. Christianity isn't dying its coming back alive. People are Growing tired of Lifeless religion and finding a true relationship with God.

reminds me....

Our true nature of our Being is like a pure glass of water. Pure and clear. When we get caught up in the dual nature and conceptions of everything about us our minds come muddy, the water becomes cloudy and muddy.

Settling our minds, looking within and coming back to our true nature not only clears the water but shatters the glass, the basis of our ego nature.

Uncrazy has a point and your response is a point of no point. No one knows who wrote the words you quote. Who are the authors of the Bible(s) the world is still awaiting for that answers to that questions. Jesus was held out as a man of letters yet no record of him writing anything has been found. All that is attributed to him is hearsay long after his death.

Has anyone come across God as the basis for love, compassion and wisdom? Is the God concept real? Is it truly necessary?

I guess if one needs a God to fulfill the basic needs for doing good in mind, body and speech albeit, It is better than little if any at all.

But, God isnt necessary and I doubt if God does exist he would care either way.

12 knots we are a vessel constantly being reshaped and reformed to contain the new life that is growing within us. new wine requires a new wineskin.

Yeshanka. Once again you attack one of the foundations of Christianity. Choose not to believe the bible is the word of God if you wish. It will take you down a different road and you will find much company on it. I prefer the Straight and narrow and know not just believe the Bible is Gods word given to man.
I Choose to stand on the Truth that is found in its pages. No greater wisdom has ever been given on page with pen, Thy Word have I hid in my heart that I might not sin against thee.
You can rant against the bible, creation, prayer, and God, all you wish. yet it only makes you a more foolish man for doing so. Disobedience is the root of the problem with those who don't wish to receive the Bible as truth. The proof is there of truth you only have to seek it with your heart.

Just where did God write those words while standing outside All there is and is not. The 10 Commandments themselves have three different versions and one version says they were received at the bottom of the mount, not the top.

Another says they were broken then memorized and what we have is simply from memory...on and on....

I don't think a God would be limited by mortal mans versions of writing. It seems more of a vision others had that they then wrote as mortal men. But then hallucinogenics were often given by physicians to rid one of maladies, grass was popular even then, and that is a fact...

Dont disagree. The nature of the muddy waters is pure pristine clarity of wisdom. Regardless of the shape of the vessel, it is still there. It to with pure pristine nature because all things are of the essence of all.

All new life is just a repeat of something dying and something being born. The nature of the cosmos. Birth, old age and death in everything. Vicious cycle of life. Admittedly we try to make things better but never-the-less until we get beyond this cycle we do not see anything except ourselves stuck in a vessel. Not knowing beyond.

Imagine pure light, a pure glass vessel and a pure water insdie. Would you be able to see it?

In our case it doesnt exist.

Hunt,

when you say jesus said we are Gods three times you definitly misquote.
we dont rewrite the bible to fit our desires.

The OT and NT both make statements to the fact that we are all gods.
Psalm 82

5 They know not, neither will they understand; they walk on in darkness: all the foundations of the earth are out of course.

6 I have said, Ye are gods; and all of you are children of the most High.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

John 10

11 I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep.

12 But he that is an hireling, and not the shepherd, whose own the sheep are not, seeth the wolf coming, and leaveth the sheep, and fleeth: and the wolf catcheth them, and scattereth the sheep.

13 The hireling fleeth, because he is an hireling, and careth not for the sheep.

14 I am the good shepherd, and know my sheep, and am known of mine.

15 As the Father knoweth me, even so know I the Father: and I lay down my life for the sheep.

16 And other sheep I have, which are not of this fold: them also I must bring, and they shall hear my voice; and there shall be one fold, and one shepherd.

17 Therefore doth my Father love me, because I lay down my life, that I might take it again.

18 No man taketh it from me, but I lay it down of myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. This commandment have I received of my Father.

19 There was a division therefore again among the Jews for these sayings.

20 And many of them said, He hath a devil, and is mad; why hear ye him?

21 Others said, These are not the words of him that hath a devil. Can a devil open the eyes of the blind?

22 And it was at Jerusalem the feast of the dedication, and it was winter.

23 And Jesus walked in the temple in Solomon's porch.

24 Then came the Jews round about him, and said unto him, How long dost thou make us to doubt? If thou be the Christ, tell us plainly.

25 Jesus answered them, I told you, and ye believed not: the works that I do in my Father's name, they bear witness of me.

26 But ye believe not, because ye are not of my sheep, as I said unto you.

27 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:

28 And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.

29 My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand.

30 I and my Father are one.

31 Then the Jews took up stones again to stone him.

32 Jesus answered them, Many good works have I shewed you from my Father; for which of those works do ye stone me?

33 The Jews answered him, saying, For a good work we stone thee not; but for blasphemy; and because that thou, being a man, makest thyself God.

34 Jesus answered them, Is it not written in your law, I said, Ye are gods?

35 If he called them gods, unto whom the word of God came, and the scripture cannot be broken;

36 Say ye of him, whom the Father hath sanctified, and sent into the world, Thou blasphemest; because I said, I am the Son of God?

These verses point out a number of problems with your blind dogma.

First: Jesus would call pseudo christians wolves since they scatter his flock rather than call them.

Second: Jesus tells us that all people will comprize his flock and that he is the shepherd of all. Not only christians but all.

Third: When Jesus said "My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all", he distinctly tells us that the Father is "greater than all". This contradicts your theory of the trinity where god supposedly is comprized of three "equal" and distinct gods.

Fourth: When the Jews picked up stones to stone Jesus for blasphemy, Jesus referred back to Psalm 82 of the OT and defended his right to consider himself the son of god. He referred back to god saying "I have said, Ye are gods; and all of you are children of the most High"and that scripture cannot be broken.

In other places in the NT, Jesus also tells us that we are children of god.

Peace

Psalm 82

A Psalm of Asaph.

1 God stands in the congregation of the mighty;
He judges among the gods.[a]
2 How long will you judge unjustly,
And show partiality to the wicked? Selah
3 Defend the poor and fatherless;
Do justice to the afflicted and needy.
4 Deliver the poor and needy;
Free them from the hand of the wicked.

5 They do not know, nor do they understand;
They walk about in darkness;
All the foundations of the earth are unstable.

6 I said, “You are gods,[b]
And all of you are children of the Most High.
7 But you shall die like men,
And fall like one of the princes.”

8 Arise, O God, judge the earth;
For You shall inherit all nations.

Footnotes:

Psalm 82:1 Hebrew elohim, mighty ones; that is, the judges
Psalm 82:6 Hebrew elohim, mighty ones; that is, the judges
