Lois is a sweet lady. You are doing fine.
Please don't pay any attention to any braying jackass that feels the need to degrade everyone around him. Try not to let him make you angry. Feel sorry for him. He is in a sad pathetic place, and is too smug and arrogant to find his way out. The bible says to pray for fools, and he definitely qualifies.

Heck, I just wish the ones who feel the need to believe they know it all, whatever their faith or lack thereof, would just leave it alone...I think we got the message the first thousand times we heard it.

Is it so very hard to accept that we can agree to disagree and discuss those differences civilly and rationally? What was that definition of insanity again? Doing the same thing but expecting different results? Why should saying the same thing change anything either?

It is not about

Which thread? I've been away for a few days...just wondering why Lois needed to be defended...
I honestly didn't know who this thread was about, if anyone, and my post wasn't directed at any single person...matter of fact I had several in mind. Frankly, if I want to keep reading the same thing over and over, I can find much more interesting material elsewhere...and once again, that's a general observation.

I think this thread could be called a direct personal attack against another person. Why attack just one person when you can attack a whole group of people at the same time? How about attacking all faiths and religions of the world other than your own in one fell swoop? It seems doing that would save a whole lot of time because attacking one person at a time is too slow. Get everyone all at once. Perhaps John Hagee got the right idea. Bomb the shit out of them with nuclear weapons. Now there's a man of action.

If that was all you truly wanted to say lance,it might have been better to post it in the General thread or better yet in a personal email and leave out the other reason about "braying jackass" .I think there are enough people on here chucking the name calling around.

Isn't a jackass a male donkey? I suppose a janeass is a female donkey. I kind of remember long ago that Jane had a friend named Dick. Don't we remember Dick and Jane? So wouldn't the name Janeass go better with Dickass and just leave Jack out of this? Who the hell is Jack anyway?
Since god likes to make animals talk we could have a talking dickass and if he's really ornery, a braying dickass yelling at janeass probably for talking to a jackass.
And if Jesus wants to get involved too. He can throw some demons into swine and cause a stampede of lardasses.
