I am back. Sorry, my internet has been down.
No reasonable person could excuse hunt's horrible behavior as "defending" himself .
Back to point.
If Yeashua had written the bible, I could buy into the "it is perfect and infallable" bit, but he didn't. It was inscribed by flawed humans who make mistakes
That doesn't mean it is worthless. The NT is probably one of the best compasses we have.

The NT is probably one of the best compasses we have. and what about the other books like Gospel of Thomas, Apocalypse of Peter that say Jesus disappeared off the cross and was laughing at the Romans or that you can become as Christ? Seems there is a lot more going on outside the canonical gospels that are rife with internal plagiarism, synoptic problem and unknown non eyewitness authors.

During my studies this morning, I pulled out a college textbook to re-read and found a little tidbit that mentioned a member here.
From: A Survey of the New Testament..third edition, by Robert H. Gundry
I am just giving an overview...not any direct copy.
Around the 160bc period, the Greeks had taken over most of the known world..it had become "Helonistic". The Jews and their Bible and traditions were outlawed.
Along came this family in a village called Modein or Modin.....and started a revolt. Ultimately. this family..called Maccabees...expelled the Syrian troops in Jerusalem, and regained religious freedom, rededicated the temple and brought the Bible back.
The point secondary to the importance of the Bible is the family name...Maccabeus....It means....."The Hammer"
 Sorry, but I really got a good laugh this morning. I wanted to thank hammer...and his forefathers for their assistance in bringing back a part of our religous freedom................

I have a few questions for you. I know you do not like me....but could we put that aside long enough to have a real discussion?
1.You have said that you like the KJV best. What in your studies brought you to that conclusion?
2. Why would you not be interested in the study of other translations?

Lois post a thread of your own and ask Questions with the understanding That I will Give my views. I only have so much time. Having A discussion where attacks abound is rarely possible. so if the devils wanna join in to post foolishness I wont have time for it. Neither will i honor this thread any longer with my posts.
