Jesus was almost certainly a cannabis user and an early proponent of the medicinal properties of the drug, according to a study of scriptural texts published this month. The study suggests that Jesus and his disciples used the drug to carry out miraculous healings.
The anointing oil used by Jesus and his disciples contained an ingredient called kaneh-bosem which has since been identified as cannabis extract, according to an article by Chris Bennett in the drugs magazine, High Times, entitled Was Jesus a Stoner? The incense used by Jesus in ceremonies also contained a cannabis extract, suggests Mr Bennett, who quotes scholars to back his claims.
"There can be little doubt about a role for cannabis in Judaic religion," Carl Ruck, professor of classical mythology at Boston University said.
Referring to the existence of cannabis in anointing oils used in ceremonies, he added: "Obviously the easy availability and long-established tradition of cannabis in early Judaism _ would inevitably have included it in the [Christian] mixtures."
Mr Bennett suggests those anointed with the oils used by Jesus were "literally drenched in this potent mixture _ Although most modern people choose to smoke or eat pot, when its active ingredients are transferred into an oil-based carrier, it can also be absorbed through the skin".
Quoting the New Testament, Mr Bennett argues that Jesus anointed his disciples with the oil and encouraged them to do the same with other followers. This could have been responsible for healing eye and skin diseases referred to in the Gospels.

Well if Jesus existed no doubt he would have partook in these festivities but how come he didn't think of rolling any of this up and smoking it. No EasyWider or Bamboo being sold at the corner convenient stores then? Oh well, maybe campfires had a special ingredient.
We do know of John of Patmos, writer of Revelations revealed to us how to expand your imagination by eating hallucinogenic mushrooms, Psilocybin, which grew wild on Patmos. What a trippy book of revelations.
Of course, Paul of Tarsus gets his visions from a different source. His very own brain. Thorn in the flesh. Temporal lobe epilepsy.

Jesus was not a traditionalist by any means. He wasn't brought up in the temple and the Bible shows no place of christ lighting incense that I have heard of.
This is just another Thread to paint Jesus as something he wasn't.  neither is their any indication that cannibus was used in old testement incense.

But Jesus used annointing oils that the study claims contained cannabis. These oils are absorbed through the skin.
The bible tells us that Jesus was annointed with expensive oils by Mary M., Judas spoke out against it. Guess Judas wanted to make sure there was enough left for him to get high too!

You don't have to burn the damned stuff, you can eat it. Cannabis is used to make ropes and has medicinal applications. Perhaps this is the vine Jesus meant.

Frankincense or olibanum is an aromatic resin obtained from the tree Boswellia thurifera or B. sacra, B. carterii (Burseraceae). It is used in incense as well as in perfumes.
Sweet-smelling gum from a tree, burnt as incense : one of the gifts that the three wise men gave to Jesus.
a sweet-smelling gum resin used chiefly as incense.

Where in the bible do you find Jesus holding a ceremony? please show scripture on this. Hunt isnt wrong. Their were anointing oils and incense for burning in the temple. Yet Jesus was never shown to be involved in any ceremony. and the perfumes,oils,and incense were not canibus. the ingredients were clearly described in the bible.

Let me ask this. Where in the bible does it tell what hand Jesus used to wipe his butt?
Oh, I guess its not in the bible. That means he never wiped himself....

How about the time when he was born to the time he started his ministry? Nothing written in the bible about that. So I guess he was hiding out somewhere?
Omissions in the bible is epidemic and ignoring them means one is blinded by dogma.

Exodus 30:34-37
And the Lord said to Moses: Take unto thee spices, stacte, and onycha, galbanum of sweet savour, and the clearest frankincense, all shall be of equal weight. And thou shalt make incense compounded by the work of the perfumer, well tempered together, and pure, and most worthy of sanctification. And when thou hast beaten all into very small powder, thou shalt set of it before the tabernacle of the testimony, in the place where I will appear to thee. Most holy shall this incense be unto you. You shall not make such a composition for your own uses, because it is holy to the Lord.
