The church I grew up was fond of detailed descriptions of what Heaven was supposed to be,and how awful Hell was.Some pastors could preach about both places like they were born and raised there.
I've often wondered about this religious fantasy,how the deluded imagine themselves in this place.How do they imagine themselves dealing with the knowledge that their heathen friends and family members are roasting while they're chillin' with the saints?Will there be tombstones lining the streets of gold with names of family members whos asses are burning?Or will the faithful be rewarded with amnesia and they won't be worried about it,or perhaps God will change their hearts and minds about how they should feel about these people,because,after all,they deserved what they got didn't they?
It's this kind of pressure that gives them their sense of urgency in trying to convert you.

It is sick but I do like this one:
Infinite Punishment for Finite Sins
God is perfectly just, and yet he sentences the imperfect humans he created to infinite suffering in hell for finite sins. Clearly, a limited offense does not warrant unlimited punishment. God's sentencing of the imperfect humans to an eternity in hell for a mere mortal lifetime of sin is infinitely more unjust than this punishment. The absurd injustice of this infinite punishment is even greater when we consider that the ultimate source of human imperfection is the God who created them. A perfectly just God who sentences his imperfect creation to infinite punishment for finite sins is impossible.
...and what about periods of time... will the Elizabethans be housed in the same quarters as the Edwardians? Or will the Mongolian Hoards be housed with the fallen Astronauts.
Hey can I get to go with the fallen nymphs and ladies of the night?

A god will see a river flowing nector.
A human a flowing river of water.
A hungry ghost a river of quenching thirst.

I believe that heaven and hell is a state of mind. You have control over your life experiences. If you view the world as heaven, you will have a good life. If you view this world as a hell, you only get joy in a possible after life.
