Let's start with a deep thought
Do not believe in anything simply because you heard it.
Do not believe anything simply because it is spoken and rumored by many.
Do not believe in anything simply because it is found written in your religious books.
Do not believe anything merely on the authority of your teachers and elders.
Do not believe in traditions because they have been handed down for many generations.
But after observation and analysis, when you find that anything agrees with reason and is conductive to the good and benefit of one and all, the accept it and live up to it.

Religion needs to fade back in importance to folks.People need to embrace rationality,logic,science and the principles of Occam's Razor.Critical thought should replace faith,superstition and myth.

As Isaac Asimov once said:Why continue? Because we must. Because we have the call. Because it is nobler to fight for rationality without winning than to give up in the face of continued defeats. Because whatever true progress humanity makes is through the rationality of the occasional individual and because any one individual we may win for the cause may do more for humanity than a hundred thousand who hug their superstitions to their breast.

At a coffee shop this morning, I sat next to 2 ladies and a young man who never spoke, but laid his head on his arms on the table.
Lady 1: You know she is a Buddhist.
Lady 2: I didn't know that...she never told me.
Lady 1: I have nothing against her. I've laid my bible on her table many times. You know there are many evil spirits in the world.
Lady 1: To the boy...get me some coffee with cream in it.
I looked at them until I saw the face of God and left for work...seeing the area temporarily, at least, clear of evil spirits.
