Well, pretty much no one knows anything Jesus said because no one wrote anything down when he was saying it - if he existed. There were no eyewitness accounts and there is a large chunk of life that isn't written about at all. Jesus is a myth and if there was a man the myth is about, its would be mostly shadowed in fokelore.
The concepts that Jesus was attributed to teach was nothing new at all yet many of those things were good things. Whether someone follows Jesus or Buddha or Jainism, the common theme would be love and compassion. They would be 100% in agreement.

It shouldn't be hard to google the Council of Nicea and read about it from ALL sources...not just Christian ones.

I did that, mom, nothing on communion, the sacrament, absolutely nothing, and nothing in wikipedia, which is one source that I would trust because it is impartial.

You know it presents all sides, unless you don't use it.
I have been there, have been everywhere. The first council only talked of whether to let people take communion, and this was for clergy and was about healing.
There was more than one council you know. None spoke of adding verses to the Bible. None of the early leaders could have ever done that. There is a warning about adding or taking away from the word, you know, so I would be amazed if any of them submitted to that temptation.

So I know that you know very little about the Council of Nicea, you know.

Bev, the Nicene Creed was composed there - Constantine called it in 325AD.
This is from Wiki:The First Council of Nicaea, held in Nicaea in Bithynia (present-day Iznik in Turkey), convoked by the Roman Emperor Constantine I in 325, was the first Ecumenical council[1] of the Christian Church, and most significantly resulted in the first uniform Christian doctrine, called the Nicene Creed. With the creation of the creed, a precedent was established for subsequent general (ecumenical) councils of Bishops' (Synods) to create statements of belief and canons of doctrinal orthodoxy— the intent being to define unity of beliefs for the whole of Christendom.
The purpose of the council was to resolve disagreements in the Church of Alexandria over the nature of Jesus in relationship to the Father; in particular, whether Jesus was of the same substance as God the Father or merely of similar substance. St. Alexander of Alexandria and Athanasius took the first position; the popular presbyter Arius, from whom the term Arian controversy comes, took the second. The council decided against the Arians overwhelmingly (of the estimated 250-318 attendees, all but 2 voted against Arius[2]). Another result of the council was an agreement on when to celebrate the Resurrection, the most important feast of the ecclesiastical calendar. The council decided in favour of celebrating the resurrection on the first Sunday after the first full moon following the vernal equinox, independently of the Hebrew Calendar (see also Quartodecimanism and Easter controversy). It authorized the Bishop of Alexandria (presumably using the Alexandrian calendar) to announce annually the exact date to his fellow bishops.
The Council of Nicaea was historically significant because it was the first effort to attain consensus in the church through an assembly representing all of Christendom.[3] "It was the first occasion for the development of technical Christology."[3] Further, "Constantine in convoking and presiding over the council signaled a measure of imperial control over the church."[3] A precedent was set for subsequent general councils to create creeds and canons.
And the beat goes on...1700 years later, people are still debating all of this. Christianity is not a monolithic religion, it's a name given to hundreds, if not thousands, of different variations on a theme. Your belief is one of many that are still called Christian, even if you disagree.

I don't know where you are getting this, Bev.
You are the one who brought up the scriptures concerning the "Last Supper". I think most of us are talking about the whole Bible, not bread and wine.

That might be because it is one of hundred plagurized pagan ceremonies put into the bible by the council.
I posted THIS last night in the pagan thread.....

Look at the Eucharist...
The Last Supper is also borrowed from Pagan religions. Christians still re enact the meal....Bread and wine....a meal with the God man Jesus.
Mithras' followers also shared a meal with their god. WHich consisted of bread and water.
Dionysus' meal with his believers was accompanied by a good wine.
Milk and Honey with Attis.
And raw bull's flesh with Zagreus.

No one wrote of Jesus while he was alive.

All the books were there, Constantine and the council of nicea made sure they had what they wanted in the "good book."
Constantine Commissioned and financed the new Bible. Anyone who chose the forbidden gospels over Constantine's version was deemed a heretic.
That was around 325 AD....not 1945.
Serapion of Antioch (a bishop from 190 to 211) read the Gospel of Peter in church.

So Bev is not liking that facts of history prove that Jesus was a remake and copied ceremonies and miracles done before Jesus. I guess those are the devils copies before the original comes out. I wonder if Xerox knows you can make copies before the originals get placed over the glass? I'd love to do that and get a copy of tomorrows newspaper today.
