Actually uab, it is entirelly wrong.
So was the last post that said Nirvana is the goal. It isnt. It is part of the goal. Nirvana is the opposite to Samsara which are both in duality of nature there fore can not possibly be the goal.
Transmigration of soul is the ability to move a soul from one body to another. this isnt reincarnation. Reincarnation is the continuance of the mind stream from one existence to another.
One doesnt reincarnate other than from the condition or state of mind of what you are at the time. Man doesnt become an ant or an ant become a man. We die and go through the intermediary states or bardo states until re-becoming into a new body, if that is our condition to do so. It may not be necessary to do this because our condtion may lead not to reincarnate again.

Reincarnation is appealing to believe in because it gives hope over time that eventually you can break the cycle of rebirth whereas Christians want a rebirth symbolically but never achieve any spiritual growth. None of the so called gifts actually manifest. At none that we could see here. Christians seek to perpetuate the ego while eastern wisdom seeks to extinguish it. Christians are self centered despite claims of being god centered. That is because they seek to perpetuate their egos and personalties which is something that exists only in themselves. God centered consciousness would be egoless since all would see the god within the other as Hindus do. Hindus actually live in a god centered way since every guest in their home is treated as a deity. They recognize the god within each other and realize their egos are only temporal and illusory.
* to be fair to spiritual Christians who are beyond dogma. They aren't who I am referring to above. They would know who I mean and realize Christianity is plagued by pseudos and ego maniacs.
