I have worked with many ministers, ministries over the years and NEVER heard one that said that everyone should look within to find the Lord. If that were true, then there is no need for the word, and by the way, Lori, I am talking about the Bible. We are to live by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God. There would be no need to receive the Lord, no need to pray for remission of sins.
You are full of it and you know what "it" is!
Jesus said:Luke 17
21 Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you. and
1 Corinthians 14 says:
25 And thus are the secrets of his heart made manifest; and so falling down on his face he will worship God, and report that God is in you of a truth You and the ministers you hang out with either don't know how to read, or just ignore Jesus' words in favor of you dogma. Either way you are sining every time you say things like that.
Jesus also said:Matthew 15
7 Ye hypocrites, well did Esaias prophesy of you, saying,
8 This people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth, and honoureth me with their lips; but their heart is far from me.
9 But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.

It all comes from inside. There is nothing on the outside. And it seems to me that bev has posted about a God spark that is in all of us. Too bad I don't have time to look up those posts, but they were recent.

I am qualified to minister and to counsel and not afraid to do either. I earned that right through study Bible study self taught?
I hate people who make false claims about religion and their education or status as a minister. You go to a church that only ministers attend well then who is the top minister surely he or she has a name.
To be a legal church there needs to be a Secretary, accountant and a minister to have not for profit status, give us names.

Yup, I guess for some, there is nothing inside them. 
But didn't Jesus himself say the kingdom of heaven is within? He is telling you to look within and so if Lori says the same thing she is just echoing the words of Jesus.

Luke 17:21...the Kingdom of God is within you.
 That's "Bible", isn't it?
...and the main message in every NON-evangelical church I've ever been to. 
Maybe a complete Christian education should include exposure to denominations and congregations thoughout the country and the world, not just what's preached and practiced in the BibleBelt.

Yash, my minister's son in law is a messianic rabbai, since you are jewish, you will find her very knowledgeable.
Am I hitting on yash, no, I don't even know him and I would love for anyone who wants to come go to church with me. My door is open.

And Jesus said the same thing in other words because you cannot be or emulate Jesus nor the Buddha why? Because they said so, check scripture.
To try to do so is bearing false witness in other words pure egotism.
BM convert from what I am Scandinavian and Russian and put no credence in institutions of religion but recognize their living philosophies and am a philosophical Zen Taoist.

You have to remember, Jesus was talking to Jews, who already had God, that was His covenant with them.
You have to receive to have the fullness of the Lord and not just that seed. He brought you a gift of salvation, a promise of the kingdom and His indwelling spirit, but first you must receive and believe.
Now, if you want to believe that you already have the kingdom of God within you, you must know that the word says that we dwell within the kingdom and the kingdom dwells within us. That means that we are in this world not of it and not affected by they economy or circumstance or fate. God is the center and the ruler of His kingdom.
If you pray the Lord's prayer, "Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven." Do you believe He answers that prayer? If so, then, nothing bad ever happens in heaven, just beautiful blessings and love and peace are God's will in heaven.
