Maybe Castenedas books are not your path or mine but they were strangly interesting werent they?
So long as Angel got us off topic..just kidding.  I brought up Castenda because he had a way of getting yourself into your dreams and controlling how they turned out.Dreams are strange parts of us all.
Ive mentioned on here before how years ago I would always have that falling dream.You know the one where they say if you hit,you die and never wake up.I had it so often I was sick of it coming up so after awhile I was able to get into my dream and remind myself to not wake up but just hit whatever I was falling into.
I didnt fall into anything,instead I started to fly.
Flew around our farm a short time and then woke up.
Ive never had that falling dream since and that was 40 years ago.
No,I dont do drugs.

I see,anyone that gets attacked non-stop on here should just leave otherwise they like it? That could be why so many users of this site dont bother to post in R&S because they wont like being harrassed by a particular group of users. You don't seem to notice an increase in participation by new Christians. You also are wearing a bag over your head too as Bev has constantly made disparaging remarks over and over that other religions are wrong, evil, satanic, offer no salvation, whatever. Hunt did so too and we know he's like at 10 watt light bulb in a 100 watt lamp. You and SOC have agreed with both of them. So your statement makes you a hypocrite and a blind one at that. Looking the other way means you're incapable of judging a fellow Christian because you are incapable of judging yourself.
Now you might be thinking, why am I defending all those other religions. It seems that way doesn't it? I am to some degree even though I consider them to be myths too but they don't carry the dark legacy Christianity does. That Christianity has viciously condemned all other faiths and religions throughout history. The funny part is that when you examine all these faiths up closely, Christianity is the most inferior in terms of scripture and the people who promote it.

On topic....
I have dreamt in color, in sequence, and lucidly. I have had flying dreams and falling dreams and even fell and hit the bottom but didn't die. I've always enjoyed falling and flying. I have had vivid interactions with people in my dreams with the same vivid detail as being awake. I have learned to treat my dream interactions as I would as being awake to be consistent.
I have gone to bed with problems to solve and woke up with the solution. I have interacted with people in my dreams to discuss issues and solutions.
The dream world is a playground or a work place, a creation within one's own mind. The more disciplined the mind, the more powerful the dreams are.
The superstitious might actually believe the people in the dreams are real people. Nope, they're just creations of the imagination.

Yes, Carlos's writings were interesting, especially at the time...also Richard Alpert, writing as Ram Dass in the same period. Richard made the brilliant observation that while drugs could expose unseen aspects of other realities, they could not be a trusted path to any search using them. One had to leave the drugs alone and do the hard work to gather insight and wisdom about the higher aspects of man and our world. Use of the drugs will lead to a ego trap, where access to these states is more difficult without more frequent and increasing dosage, until the body chemistry no longer can cooperate in the change of state...burn out or addiction often resulting.
While not my path, a brother did walk that one, a downside in the use of drugs is paranoia, and adjunctive chemical imbalances in the body which impacted him severely.
I am also aware of the falling dream...the part of the dying if you hit was the myth of it. I too have flown in my sleep state, have visited and been visited by those close to me. Some of this can be explained in the brain chemistry, one pineal or pituitary secretion(can't remember which) if altered can distort what we perceive as our normal body boundary with the world, and we can sense becoming one ith the universe. It is an experience available when doing higher chakra work, or doing deep meditations and prayer disciplining in the mind.
On the dream travel, I believe it is experienced more than we realize on this level...it is just too upsetting to the laws we hold in our worldview of reality to remember it. Ego will sense a loss of control for sure. I suspect we are as likely interacting with each other in travels as we are day to day. In work with others on this earlier, some could meet at pre-chosen places while we were both asleep. The next day we could independently describe the places we went and what we observed.
In dreams, I'm sure you have noticed that we create almost instantly. We would all be much more productive working together in this mode.
These things are not playthings and quite harmful if abused, safely used to be helpful to those that desire assistance.

Anyway, you're still incapable of using your mind in a productive way with fellow Christians. Why think you must you need to attack them to make a point? You can't just tell them they're wrong? See, your disabled in this area because you wouldn't know why they're wrong but more likely agree with their view because you'll see it being plausible or some other confabulation.

I feel that dreams are a reflection of our daily state. Our state of mind, our fears, hopes, attitudes, how we see things in general and the things around us that have any sort of bearing in our lifes. These concious and subconsious emotions manifest themselves to us in the form of dreams. No one fully understands the function of dreams and the interpretation of dreams is subject to debate. They do however, give us a better insight into our true selves and I also feel that dreams are a powerful tool for self discovery. I have no doubt that there is more to dreams than meets the eye. I also believe them to be a vehicle for almost supernatural occurances having witnessed some amazing things through dreams first hand.
JMO of course....

I'm interested in knowing more about Jankia's Idiot Savant talents. You can see him become savant on very rare occasions but what does that make him most of the time? No wonder why he considers these brain damaged unfortunate souls to be gifted.
Whats more interesting is that he is willing to live a life devoted to the fantasies of a mythical being that no one saw and wrote about and still not care to know where the copied myths came from and how it got there. So much for the home skewled.

Now, un, as for lucid dreaming, your dreams are a release and DO sometimes hold special messages for you, to only dream lucidly is not so good for you, you know.
I have flown in my dreams, that is amazing, fun. Now as to hitting bottom. I have dreamt I was falling, but in my dream, I said, that is okay, God won't let me hit bottom. I get all the way to the bottom, and ever so gently, He catches me and sets me down. He usually waits so long to catch me that I wonder if He is going to, but He has never failed to do so. This has happened more than once. So, am I in control, no? Is He real, YES. I have dreamt I was being chased, I came to a pool of water and knew it was full of acid. I said, I can walk on that water, Jesus walked on water, that one was amazing, too. Try that one sometime.
I have dreams in which I hear the most beautiful music, songs you ever heard, ones about God, about Jesus, about faith. I try to remember them when I wake up, but they are gone.
One night, in a dream, and you can tell I can practice lucid dreaming, un. I said, I am going to hear the angels sing. The most wonderous, beautiful singing you ever heard, and the song? "What the world needs now."
Now, like I promised, I did the opposite of what I asked you all to do. My dream was this.
I was on this big Harley, driving it, going to a picnic. Well, I went a block, turned the corner, and it swung around like crazy, no control. I got off of it and looked, and discovered it had ten speed bicycle tires, the back one simply was an inner tube. I didn't make it to the picnic, lol. Now, for those of you who are wise, there is a very strong implication in that, a very strong message. Who can get it?

Remember, guys, I was asking whether other religions beliefs were true and wanted to be shown in a dream. I knew, but I had to do it for you, since I asked you to try an experiment, I had to be willing to do it myself.
Un, I have done the astral travel stuff, years ago, when I was searching. I could leave my body and go wherever I wanted. Be very very careful, it is very very dangerous and can be very harmful.
When you leave, you leave your body unprotected, is an easy entry for spirits, and not all spirits are good spirits. Buddhists will tell you that is not true, but they have never experienced that, they don't know.
When I was searching, I would go up, make this giant swing and swing way across the heavens, it was delightful, fun. Then I would jump out of the swing. You have to realize, that other than some stars, it was dark. When I jumped out of the swing, the falling was wonderful but I fell into a darker realm, and when I would fight my way out of that realm, there would be these demonic things hanging on to my ankles so they could come out with me. This happened to me enough times to know I couldn't do that anymore.
So, are there other realms, evil ones, YES. I had this happen on numerous occasions. That is why I am so adamant about the truth, and hate the distortions, the lies, the religions that are not real. I KNOW who they follow.
You see, I used to think and say that there is no hell only the one we make for ourselves here on earth. All the time, I loved God with all my heart, and for my sake, He showed me in my dreams, that it is real. Doubt if you want, but when you have this demon pulling you through a tunnel of fire, and cry out as you will, there is no God, nothing to help you, you can feel the pain, feel the fire burning you. This happened more than once, too, and I hated that dream, it was horrifying. Finally, as I was being pulled through, I remembered the scripture that said I could do anything in the Lord's name. I would command the top of that tunnel to open up and I could get free. Each time I got free, it was as if God took me to this mountain that was covered with snow, and I could lay in it and cool and soothe my burns. This happened more than once, as well. I got to where I just automatically commanded the tunnel to open up in Jesus name.
I didn't believe in Satan. God did all this so I would know, and then told me, "You can't fight or win any battles if you don't know you are at war or have an enemy."
Now, remember, these were all dreams, call them nightmares, for they were, but they repeated themselves more than once so I would know that they were not just happenstance.
Now, you guys wonder why I am so adamant about the truth, about the Lord?

So called astral travel and out of the body experiences have been associated with an experience called sleep paralysis. It happens when your brain wakes up before your body does. I've experienced this before as what my pagan and spiritist friends refer to as a succubus attack or Hag Attack. It's also been associated with UFO abductions.
Nothing paranormal or supernatural about it, just a condition of the brain.

Thor, when you say, I am going to see this movie star guy in your astral travel, and you get to his house, and go into his bedroom.
Then a month later there is this big spread in one of my kids movie magazines and it is exactly the place where I had been.
I could leave my body at will, you can with practice you know. I will never do that again, for sure. Un is right, it is real stuff.
Thor, you have sleep paralysis, you know that is a symptom of narcolepsy?
I didn't need that state to do that, you accomplish that with breathing and introspection, if you want to go that route. I would advise you not to.

Thor, and it can be an attack, you know, your friends are right. When I quit doing that willingly, it was like something would come and try to suck me out of my body, like a giant vacuum cleaner. I fought for a number of years against that one. You should listen to your friends. If you don't do it willingly and it happens durning sleep paralysis, then it is an attack.

Seriously Bev, you should see a doctor about your fantasies before it is too late. If not for yourself but the well being of those around you that you love.
Have your daughter read some of the things you have posted over the last two days. If you are not afraid of her reaction, how would it hurt? It may be the first step to you recovering from what ails you.
