So called astral travel and out of the body experiences have been associated with an experience called sleep paralysis. It happens when your brain wakes up before your body does. I've experienced this before as what my pagan and spiritist friends refer to as a succubus attack or Hag Attack. It's also been associated with UFO abductions.
Nothing paranormal or supernatural about it, just a condition of the brain.
This is absolutely correct. A lot of study was done on this.
While the following study focuses mainly on those who claim alien abduction the experiences of being filled with the Holy Spirit are similar. All one has to do is replace the alien being with Jesus and then you get a full blown He is Risen personal relationship with Jesus experience.
There is a very interesting discussion the kinds of people predisposed to these kinds of experiences and about abnormal activity in the temporal lobes.

Seriously Bev, you should see a doctor about your fantasies before it is too late. If not for yourself but the well being of those around you that you love. Bev dreams while awake and obviously while driving as we know from her bridge story. Dreaming while awake are hallucinations. They're psychotic events. She should be taken off the road before she kills someone. I don't think her children are in any better state of mind to help her. They reading her posts wouldn't surprise them. If anything, they're probably glad she focuses on the internet just to occupy her time away from them.

Remember the title of this thread, sail. I think some of the things I said disturb you and they should. They should make you think.
The only thing that disturbs me is the damage that you can do to people you are in contact with. You are a sick woman who requires analysis.
Like I said before, have your daughter read your posts of the last two days.
Are you afraid she will take you for analysis?
If you are not afraid, how would it hurt you?

Lol, hammer, I have always had a very logical and sane mind. You can try to science that away all you want, I KNOW it is real, I had proof. Un will tell you that it is real. Knotts will tell you that it is real. They can call it your mind all they want to, gee, hammer.
Let me tell you how real it is, what you experience. You get this ringing in your ears, and then this tingling all over your body, and if something doesn't try to pull you out, you can get out all by yourself. You can look down on your own body. You practice meditation, I think, hammer, you can learn to do it, but I strongly advise you NOT to.

Hammer, I don't like to return like for like, but it is your sanity that is in question and always has been. You last post was an example of that. You know that people who lack sanity are the ones who are always calling others insane. Just a truth, hammer, and I am sorry to have had to said that.
Hammer, if you try to astrally project, the first thing you will notice is that you can move your feet, your legs and begin to move them, even though you know your physical body is not moving. Sure there will be changes in the brain, lol, YOU are not there anymore.

her own daughter tried to do herself in and needs analysis herself from having a mother like that. Her kids already know she is insane. If they can, all they need is a couple of psychiatrists to agree she is a danger to herself and others and get power of attorney over her. They should at least get her drivers license revoked before someone dies.

A therapist is not trained well enough to handle psychosis, mostly ordinary life issues. They're usually MSW's. She needs to be on anti-psychotic medicine and stabilized. Only a psychiatrist can do that. They would probably get a kick when she tells them she's a psychologist followed by stories of hearing voices and driving over bridges too small for a three lane highway but they probably heard such things a million times from patients.

Its actually common for mental patients to say psychologists and psychiatrists are crazy. It makes them feel less threatened. Some even pretend to be psychologists themselves.

What could possibly be more unstable than basing one's life...hell, one's entire existence...on the belief that something is a fact, that at the very best is speculation, and most likely a man made myth??...
Maybe preaching such to be fact, and trying (badly!!) to put down those who don't see it their way...
