No authority in God.

The only authority with respect to God is our ability to give God authority if we choose to believe in a man made concept.

God can only exist if you let "it".

If you were never impregnated with the thoughts of a God from birth, you simply would never have known a god or Gods.

God has become the greatest excuse for lack of self-reliance and self- development spiritually.

I agree with almost all of your post.

Well someone invented these gods because human imagination is astounding and fertile. We have had 3000 major gods invented plus the one I invented. What is true however is that most of these gods are copies of each other. Just as Jesus is a copied myth from Mithras, Dionysus, and Horus and the dozens of virgin births. The god of Abraham is a copy from Sumerian gods. Few are originals.

All gods are created in the image and likeness of man even if they are copies.

OK, I have a question here for the born agains. If God is supposed to be the final authority on everything, then why do many of them go around with T shirts, bumper stickers and hats that say, "God said it, I believe it, that settles it. ?" If God is the final authority, then the previous statement is theologically incorrect. Should it not read, "God said it, that settles it, and who cares what you believe"?

It shows me that these people have simplistically inserted this mental affirmation to avoid the process of thinking which seems painful to them.

I'm curious of something too. Some people have their corpus callosum severed essential giving them two distinct personalities. Its impossible for their left and right hemispheres to communicate. If only one side believes in God and other is atheist does only half that person go to heaven?

Kind of reminds me of when Groucho Marx was staying in a hotel and they told him that "folks of the Jewish pursuasion were not allowed in their pool." Groucho replied, "Well my son is only half Jewish, can he go in up to his waiste?"
