I've been in haunted houses and what haunted me was noisy crickets and other bugs. Old houses just feel creaky, thats why they get them renovated.

Ill bite.....Yes I believe .. do I think they are all not good spirits ..nope.. Most are loved ones passed on watching over us.. sending good positive energy in our most dire times of need.. After my mom had passed BOTH of my daughters have had contact.. one I can maybe see it happening from memory .. but my youngest no.. she never KNEW my mom..yet I caught her many times talking to Gramma Mabel  .. full blown conversations and then having her ask me about something ONLY my mom would know about  ...When my Bro in law passed I know I saw my mom (an faint image of her) by his bedside and they left together arm in arm ..she had come to guide him .. and I swear his face became peaceful...When my bro passed..and I raced on the track he died on ,I KNOW he was there .. messing with me right and left just like when he was alive ... and he was in my car while I raced ...no doubt in my mind .. all benevolent.. no evil... there are more but these are fairly recent happenings ...if you choose to believe so be it if not no skin off my back .. those who will choose to call me nuts or hallucinating.. eh .. dont matter to me .. I know what I have witnessed

I never read, hear of people actually understanding what ghosts are.
There are many phenomena that are labelled ghosts yet are quite different phenomenas to us.
Elementals / Thought Forms.
Once living beings who have now passed on.
Remaining Energies of once living.
Beings from other realms.
Astral Travellers from here and other places.
Hallucinations.
...and the list can go on but the main "goodies" are there.
All these can come in "Good" or "bad" intentions in the same manner we have good or bad people amongst us.
It is extremely rare that any of them can harm anyone. The main principle is that "Good" always overcomes "bad", no matter the religious belief system.
I believe most ghostly apparitions are of people that have passed on. Few are energies left behind on account most people pass on in a peaceful mind state.
Personally, I absolutely believe in ghosts and all the different types. I dont believe by any means they are evil at all, quite the opposite is true.

You know, the insanity of religion isn't just characteristic of Christianity although the Jesus death cult does a lot to promote such ignorance in competition with other forms of delusion on earth. We have a whole world of religious beliefs even back to the stone age about disembodied spirits, ghosts, goblins, ghouls and vampires.
You know. I live in NYC and this really is a melting pot. We have every religion, every race and ethnic verity and every kind of food on the planet. NYC is so busy that you can walk a few blocks and traverse a few nations and in all that not one ghost town. Not one neighborhood of ghosts. Not one restaurant serving ethers and ecoplasm. No Casper the friendly ghost playing with little kids at that playground. And the cemeteries are plentiful. Lots of buried dead people and some cemeteries are very beautiful because the land is original from centuries ago. I've been in lots of cemeteries . Even had a few picnics but no ghosts came by and asked for an extra dumb stick or ice tea. They were dead to the world and that includes the holy ghost.

The stories I have would fill a book.
I once had a little dog and when she got to feeble to jump on my bed, I kept my door shut so she wouldn't wake me up and to ease her frustration. If I didn't shut the door well enough, she would nudge it open and come in.
When she died, I was at work and didn't get to say good-bye. That night when I went to bed, I closed my door as usual. After a few minutes, the door opened. I knew it was her coming to say good-bye.

If ghosts were real then I think family reunions would be a lot more crowded. Funerals would be fun. Cemeteries would be as lively as the red light district and dying would be just another way life. Perhaps an alternative lifestyle would be people who died just to get to the next life like taking the express lane.
I think people simply can not deal with reality and find it horrifying they will be dead one day. Its kind of sad actually. I'm not bothered in the least that I will one day be dead. Its meaningless to me because I'll be dead. I won't hurt at all because I'll be dead. I don't even think much about it because I'll be dead and that will include my brain. Some of you, mostly the delusional Christians already have a part of them that's dead now. Your minds. You don't live, you exist. Each moment that passes is just one more tick to your eternal fantasy. Death to you is a better life because this life suffers from a vacuum of real living.
But if by any chance, any shred of possibility there is any life after death I promise this now. I will haunt your asses where you live. I will send my ghost and take a ghost shit on your front door step. I'll flip the lights on and off and blow car horns around your house. I will flip over your beds while you sleep and make all the water ice cold when you're in the shower. I think that would be a whole lot of fun. Don't you?

Interesting. I can tell you what an evil one is like. They stink, you can smell them. If anyone doesn't believe in evil, all you have to do is get a whiff of one of those, and you have no doubt. Knots, this is why I am telling you to avoid astral travel. I have even read of people coming back to their bodies after doing that and finding it covered with bruises. You see, many evil spirits are looking for a body to move into. During astral travel, your body is left unprotected. They are not pretty, gives me chills to think about what I saw, you can't imagine what evil is until you see it looking out of those eyes, pointy teeth, horrible, their touch makes the hairs on your neck stand up. Now, I am more inclined to think that what I saw was a demon, not just an evil spirit. Wow, that is when you really learn to call on the name of the Lord. They hate him.

Many ghosts or spirits have a smell. i have smelled them and my sister is uncanny about smelling them.
Our grandmother smells like the perfume she always wore. I have smelled roses in the presence of comforting spirits.
The only bad one I've encountered smelled like old, cheap after shave.

Don't want to see anymore like that one, for sure.
I have never seen a good one. My mom and gran and grandaddy died, and I feel they went to heaven, for I have seen or felt nothing of them. I can feel the Spirit of the Lord all around and love. I have been sad sometimes at night, very seldom, but sometimes,and I could feel him wrap His arms around me and just hold me, was wonderful, such love you have never felt.
