I was astonished to read this in a blog:
Criss Angel, enemy of God?

Several months ago, before I had ever heard of Criss Angel, I came across a video of him putting a ring through a glass counter-top at a jewelry store. I watched it over and over and over to try and figure out how he did it. For awhile, I actually thought he had the power of "mind over matter" , that there just wasn't any other way to get the ring through the glass.

Then I saw numerous other videos of incredible tricks that simply aren't HUMANLY possible.
Months later the Bible (The Truth) came to my attention. God says all thoughout the Bible that he hates witchcraft, those who call upon spirits and fortune tellers, Idoltry, and practitioners of the magic arts. Those that "go whoring after them" will not recieve the Kingdom of God, but be destroyed, Leviticus 19:31, Leviticus 20:6&27. These things are "an abomination to" and "prostitution against" God. God clearly warns us to stay away from these things. A few scriptural examples of magicians and sorcerers: Exodus 7:11-12, Exodus 9:11, Deuteronomy 18: 10-12, Acts 8: 9-11, Acts 13: 7-10, Leviticus 20: 6/ 27, Isaiah 8: 19,
Think about this. Is Criss Angel performing real feats of Satanic magic right in front of us and calling them tricks, illusions? Maybe that's why a "good" magician never tells his secrets. He's doing things that don't seem to have any other explanation, like making elephants dissapear, levitation, and much more. I know that the ring I mentioned earlier really went through the glass, you can see it drop to the shelf from the bottom of the glass. Was the camera hallucinating? And the reaction of the girl behind the counter is so real.
Even his name or stage name, whatever it may be, spits in the face of God. "Angel" and his first name is close to that of you know who and is associated with cross, the expression criss cross. People's souls may well be "defiled" (Leviticus 19:31) by seeing him.
It may even be possible (but only God and Satan know) that he is "that man of sin" , "Even him, who's coming is after the working of Satan, with all the power, signs, and lying wonders." mentioned in II Thessalonians 2. I don't claim to be a Saint myself, but the more I find out about the Bible, the more Criss Angel and countless others scare me.

I've got to say that I've run across a number of ridiculous beliefs like that -- even those who criticize his name ("Angel"), truly believing he's one of Satan's minions. 
Then again, Harry Potter and friends is a Satanic-inspired plot to promote evil and witchcraft among kids.

Here would be my response: OK Fundies, it's SHOW BIZ!!!!! Nothing more, nothing less. There are no Satanic or any other real magic going on, this is stage/TV sleight of hand, it's for entertainment purposes ONLY!!! Get the Fuk over it!!!! If it offends your sense of religiousity, change the damn channel, assuming you have the technical skill and common sense to accomplish such a feat since the concept of TV being an ILLUSION obviously escapes you.
People who believe this kind of crap is real belong in a rubber room.

He's a magician .... an illusionist .... he makes you think he's done the impossible .... that's what an illusionist does ..... of course he won't tell how he does it, because then who would care to see it if you already know the secret? .... people are fascinated not by just what they think they've seen, but in trying to figure out how it was accomplished .... he is just very, very good at what he does, which is to entertain people.

I've been in the front row of Siegfried & Roy and David Copperfield shows. I don't have a clue how they pulled off the amazing things I saw them do and I could care less how they did it, or what drove them to do it. I just enjoyed the amazement of watching something spectacular!!!
Guess it must just be that ole Secular attitude getting in the way again!!

Lol, I am with laidback on this one, He is simply an illusionist. Youtube has a couple of botched tricks he did on there. I can't watch them, but read about one of them.
