This one is for you, Lore.
The fire within...
The fire we have inside is from the Holy Spirit. Jesus Christ promised us he would send us the Holy Spirit once he was back with his Father.
He said he could only perform his miracles, healing the sick and casting out evil spirits, through the power of the Holy Spirit. He said: this same power, this fire that burns, will be given to you. (John 14-17)
In the gospel of Luke he said: "If you then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him!" (Luke 11:13)
That's why we ask for the Holy Spirit every day!
It's like a well you can drink from every day, if you like. When we don't drink from God's well, which is the Holy Spirit, we dry up. We become empty. We die inside. The fire needs to be recindled every day of our lives.
We need to stretch our hearts and ask God each time again to refill us.
We need the Holy Spirit, because Jesus Christ needed him so much. He could do nothing without him. And He said: "I tell you the truth, anyone who has faith in me will do what I have been doing. He will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father." (John 14:12) Then he talked about the Holy Spirit who would come and never leave us.
. He is the ONLY one who has given us passion. He makes us wild and cazy about Jesus Christ. He helps us in all we do. He is our best Friend, our best Companion, our best Teacher.
He is the ONE who shows us who Jesus Christ really is. That's why we are so enthusiastic about him...
Thank You Jesus for your Holy Spirit. Woaawww...
If the world would only know what God is like... The Holy Spirit can make them see it! Therefor: ask for the Holy Spirit to fill you up, completely, from head to toe, every day of your life.
Never miss a day. Ask him, and you shall receive. Don't worry if you do not feel it. Feelings are deceptive. It's about HIM, and he will come if you ask him. Trust your heavenly loving father. He is the One who wants this. So he will surely give it.
And watch and see how the Holy Spirit will transform your life, day by day, and lead you into all truth, as Jesus Christ promised:
"But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all truth. (...) He will bring glory to me by taking from what is mine and making it known to you. All that belongs to the Father is mine. That is why I said the Spirit will take from what is mine and make it known to you." (John 16:13-15)
Ask, and you shall receive...

No lore, it isn't. Regular baptism is simply for remission of sins. That is what water baptism is all about. These are two distinct and separate baptisms. http://www.believers.org/believe/bel190.htm Water Baptism Water baptism is a symbolic burial, by which the new Christian publicly declares they have died, and are now beginning a new life, in Christ.
Baptize is the English form of a Greek word which means to immerse: to place something into something else.
In Christian water baptism, the believer is put completely under water, then immediately raised out of the water.
Water baptism is a statement of faith: my old life is behind me -- I am a new person, with a new life.
Water baptism is a sign of repentance -- repentance means change -- a change so drastic that the old person is "buried."
It does not make you acceptable to God. As a work of righteousness, trying to obtain a good standing with God, it is worthless.
Water baptism is a way of giving testimony to what has happened inwardly, and a clear commitment to turn from the old life.

Knots, the baptism not commanded is the one of water, not the one of fire.
I really don't know where you are going with the other New Testament scriptures, knots.

Lore, the baptism of the Holy Spirit comes with supernatural gifts, generally tongues. http://www.ccel.org/bible/phillips/CN235ACTSPaulThree.htm Acts 19:1-22 - While Apollos was in Corinth Paul journeyed through the upper parts of the country (the high inland plateau of Asia Minor) and arrived at Ephesus [4] (on the coast). There he discovered some disciples, and he asked them, ....
- In Acts 19:2b-5 following, repeated in Part 40.1, Paul baptises a number of Christian disciples in the Holy Spirit:
(Verse 2b starts ....) "Did you receive the Holy Spirit when you believed?"
"No", they replied, "we have never even heard that there is a Holy Spirit."
"Well then, how were you baptised?" asked Paul.
"We were baptised with John (the Baptist)'s baptism," they replied.
"John's baptism was a baptism to show a change of heart," Paul explained, "but he always told the people that they must believe in the one who should come after him, that is, in Jesus."
When these men heard this they were baptised in the name of the Lord Jesus, (Verse 6 continues ....), and then, when Paul had laid his hands on them, the Holy Spirit came upon them and they began to speak with tongues and the inspiration of prophets. (There were about twelve of them in all.)
The water baptism is still to show a change of heart.
Paul didn't even baptise with water, only the baptism of the Holy Spirit, lore.
What are you afraid of, do you think it would hurt you to ask for that? If you already have it, it won't matter. If you don't, it sure won't hurt you. God only gives good gifts, lore.

Knots, no, I believe in every word in the New Testament.
Here is your answer.
Gal. 2:16 - "Know that a man is not justified by observing the law, but by faith in Jesus Christ. So we, too, have put our faith in Christ Jesus that we may be justified by faith in Christ and not by observing the law, because by observing the law no one will be justified."
Gal. 2:21 - "I do not set aside the grace of God, for if righteousness could be gained through the law, Christ died for nothing!"
Eph. 2:8-9 - "For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—not by works, so that no one can boast."
2 Tim. 1:9 - "Who has saved us and called us to a holy life—not because of anything we have done but because of his own purpose and grace. This grace was given us in Christ Jesus before the beginning of time."
Heb. 6:1-2 - "Therefore let us leave the elementary teachings about Christ and go on to maturity, not laying again the foundation of repentance from acts that lead to death, and of faith in God, instruction about baptisms, the laying on of hands, the resurrection of the dead, and eternal judgment."

The last time I had a fire within, I took some Malox and it took care of it. I still suffer an occasional bout of acid reflux and I can't take any of the precription meds for it, so I will take OTC Zantac or my old stand by, Malox.

Yash... dont they all. Every chapter has conflicting scripture, so much so it is ridiculous. Literually thousands of contradictions and some pretty serious ones too!
Now, after that John was put in prison, Jesus came into Galilee, preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God. - Mark 1:14
After these things came Jesus and his disciples into the land of Judea... and John was also baptizing Enon... for John was not yet cast into prison. - John 3:22-24
And it was in the third hour, and they crucified him. - Mark 25:3-4
And it was the preparation of the passover, and about the sixth hour; and he saith unto the Jews, behold your king... Shall I crucify your king? - John 19:14-15
They gave him vinegar to drink, mingled with gall. - Matthew 27:34
And they gave him to drink, wine mingled with myrrh. - Mark 15:23 [Jesus was the thirsty chap in both verses.]
And the men which journeyed with [Paul] stood speechless, hearing a voice, but seeing no man. - Acts 9:7
And they that were with me [Paul] saw indeed the light and were afraid; but they heard not the voice of him that spake to me. - Acts 22:9
All power is given unto [Jesus] in heaven and in earth. - Matthew 28:18
And [Jesus] could there do no mighty work, save that he laid his hands on a few sick folk and healed them. - Mark 6:5
Thou shalt not kill - Exodus 20:13
Thus saith the Lord God of Israel, Put every man his sword by his side... and slay every man his brother... - Exodus 32:27
I and my father are one. - John 10:30
... I go unto the Father: for my Father is greater than I. - John 14:28 [Jesus was the speaker in both of these quotes]
If I bear witness of myself, my witness is not true. - John 5:31
I am one that bear witness of myself... - John 8:18 [Jesus was the speaker in both of these quotes]
Think not that I come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword. - Matthew 10:34
... all they that take the sword shall perish with the sword. - Matthew 26:52
Oh well, just a few for now
How can the sane minded take heeed of such nonsenses and bet their whole existence on such nonsenses

Knots, do you want me to take those two at a time and explain those to you?
I can explain the ones I posted, too, if you want.
None of them conflict.

Now, tell me how these conflict. One was before John was put in prison, the other was after. Two different accounts, two different disciples. No conflict there.

You have the wrong scripture in Mark to start with
And it was in the third hour, and they crucified him. - Mark 25:3-4
And it was the preparation of the passover, and about the sixth hour; and he saith unto the Jews, behold your king... Shall I crucify your king? - John 19:14-15 Mark uses the Jewish timekeeping system and John uses the Roman
Roman time went from midnight to midnight. The Jewish 24 hour time period began in the evening at 6 pm and the morning of that day began at 6 am. Thus Mark is stating that Jesus was crucified at 9 am and John is stating that the trial was still on at 6 am. In John 19:16 we see that the soldiers took charge of Jesus, meaning that the crucifiction had not yet taken place. So the times are reasonable.
Ten o' clock is the time.
Sour wine is vinegar, knots.
