GOD and anadram of DOG is a shameful concept of christianity. There has always been Gods by the thousands then lo and behold the Christians pop into the world and says, lets grab that Jewish Dog....oops I mean God and try and turn him into a good guy. How's that........ yes.... we can say "Good God~!" add that little extra "o" in the middel so now we have a good god from dog. Because to call the original god a dog is too much. Dogs are wonderful creatures and god is not. God is not good.
God is an evil arsehole.
Anyone but anyone who considers god good then must from common ration conculde god is evil.
Why you might ask? I must say what is there good about god?
Did he not destroy nations? What about genocide? Did he carry out genocide? Yes or no?
Does he kill the unborn? Does he kill children? Does he kill women? Does he destroy animals? Does he destroy any living thing?
YES HE DOES!
The Christians argue but...but.... but...... thats the Old Testament and not our covenant with God.
But WTF!!!!  Do decent people palli with the Stalin, Hitler, Pol Pot, the DEVIL himself..... God?
God is an emanation of evil itself!
Okay, lets put that to one side and consider Christian view of god is good with the extra god "o".
Christians state he sent his son down to earth to now bring peace from his fathers evil works. Would you care about the son of satan so much? 
What did his son say, " I didnt come here to bring peace on earth!"
The bastard is the same as the god damn father... (ooops sorry god), so now we have an old fatherly god and now a new sonly god. But yet Christians cant make their minds up what this new god truly is and is not. Some where in recent biblical times god has become god yet is also the son and also a spirit.
Confused?
Of cause you are!

God, Gods, sons of gods are all man made concepts~!!!!

LOL a very interesting viewpoint there 16knots, and finally something fun to read in the religious forum! 
If there is a God, then God is good, but God is also the most severely deranged mass-murderer the world has ever known. He also has no compassion (or at least doesn't share his compassion around fairly), he shuns the Gods of other religions and, according to many of his followers, if you don't believe in him and worship him, then you're damn sure going to Hell. Yeah, that also makes him a serious egomaniac.
"live your life in a wonderful way, help people, shower kindness on others, but if you don't believe in me I'll send your scraggy ass to Hell".
Alternatively "kill women, children, rape, murder, steal, pillage for all your life, but don't worry, repent in time and I'll send you to Heaven".
Nice touch, the last one, gives us leeway to do whatever the hell we want and still go to Heaven. Maybe I've still got a chance.

Okay I totally agree with you, so watch what you say because God is a vindictive bastard, (excuse the French here.)
He might want to exact his vengeance on the likes of you and me but dont worry, there is a solution to our delemma, he doesnt exist this evil God of ours. Its all in our minds.
So we dont have any worries mate!
But, alas, this damn evil God exists in a lot of people minds here in the threads and they arent too darn happy that we think their evil God is a "most severely deranged mass-murderer the world has ever known." But, isnt it true~!!!!! The buggar is so!
Only if he existed in the first place.
Anyhow, I say let the buggers be ignorant, sooner or later they have to wake up to the truth and from their little dream world.
