Posts: 4,489 		We have used hearsay a lot on these threads but the responses that we receive lead me to believe that a lot of people inclined towards Religion do not really understand what hearsay is and is not.

Dictionary:
hearsay
(hîr'sa') pronunciation


1. Unverified information heard or received from another; rumor.
2. Law. Evidence based on the reports of others rather than the personal knowledge of a witness and therefore generally not admissible as testimony.
Do not mistake hearsay for the definition under the law....

I heard or he says, she says, it is written by someone with no direct experience to the person they are expounding on, does not make it true. As in MMLJ
