Personally, I believe the so-called anti-christ is the condition of being ignorant. It is ignorance in its purity.
The opposite to ignorance is wisdom when we have wisdom ignorance is dispelled so what is there left but purity of mind and thought.
The anit-christ is nothing more or less than a mind filled with ignorance which brings it to down falls of hate, anger, desire in its feeding fest of wants.
Whats your own thoughts on the anti-christ????

Anyway, the Antichrist is nothing more than a title invented by Christians. The very dead Jerry Falwell has said the Antichrist is alive and is a male Jew. Basically its a title assigned to anyone who wants peace in the middle east which would prevent them from knocking down a thousand year old mosque on the temple mount to build the Jewish temple. Christians believe their messiah will sit there. Its pretty insane.

What's scary is that morons like John Hagee are taken seriously by folks in government. This little fat idiot turd thinks that Iran needs to be invaded and the Islamic nations overthrown so that the temple can be rebuilt and Jesus will float down into the holy land to save everyone.
It's OK to be delusional as long as you're either at home babbling to the walls or in some park with a tinfoil hat on your head, but in the white house with heads of state giving you a sympathetic ear? 
I just don't get it.

The anti-christ is a person in the story...he is in Acts and Revelations...if we know Jewish history we will know that Simon Magus is who was referenced.
The church has gotten a lot of milage in their interpretation of this person coming in the future...along with the beasts of Revelation...these guys (beasts) were leaders in the different revolts against Rome.
Mobs are moved best when they fear what they cannot or will not understand. Fear chosen always overrules thinking.

Osama Bin Laden may be the latest anti-Christ. He even says so himself.
My nominations for the all-time best candidates by order of negativity are: Hitler followed closely by Stalin.
A European should have that record for negativity anyway, they did a diabolical job in the twentieth century. Few other centuries can claim to have outdone the Dark Ages. Europeans have even killed more Europeans than the Black Death and Spanish flu taken together.
Thor, about Iran...
We currently have the Afghanistan war spreading to Pakistan. The bombing the other day was an assassination attempt, the new President changed venues and wasn't where he was expected. The pro-Western Bhutto was assassinated earlier. Western sympathisers in Pakistan are currently under tremendous pressure.
Apart from that, the military Taleban and Al Qaeda are heavily ensconsed in Pakistan. US special forces have already been more aggressively confronting that presence. In the worst case scenario, there could be a civil war in Pakistan between Western and Taleban influences. The Afghanistan war is currently spreading to that theatre.
So all those who seriously want to invade Iran are prime candidates for doing the work of the anti-Christ.

And what if Sarah Palin becomes Veep? That woman actually believes the world was created 6000 years ago. If the old man dies in office, she gets to be in charge of the nukes. She might even knock him off herself just to press the button. Hell, some Christian psycho might do it for her just to start Armageddon.

The Antichrist is but a Concept put forth by Christian Institutions and Fundamentalists. The Anti-Christ is reflected to be the flip side of Christ.
Christ is good therefore you need to have a complimentary opposite that is negative to help define Christ against. Positive and Negative, Good and Bad, Black and White...
In linguistics could there be a Christ - positive, without a Antichrist - negative to form a opinion about. Maybe, but using the negative to define the positive is sometimes necessary when it is hard or seeming impossible to define the positive all by itself.

By Jewish tradition before the time of Jesus, Christ was to be the Messiah and was was shown in the historical Jesus thread Christ the Messiah and Jesus were two different beings.
One could say there could be multiple men carrying the label of Jesus, but under monotheism dictates there can be only one Christ.

I think that term is like what the Buddha conveyed there is a Buddha in each one of us and it is said that Jesus said there is a Jesus in each one of us.
But then there is only one Christ the Messiah and like on the historical Jesus thread it reflects that Christianities solution to Jesus and Christ as separate beings is addressed in the Holy Trinity to tie them back together.
