Where is the 100% healing? |

OK, if what we believe is real, really really is real, we shold not shy away from legitimate questions, but should welcome them as a chance to elaborate on and explain our beliefs.
Some Christian folks seem to look at is as a challenge or put down (and maybe sometimes it is in some respects) but more than that it is an opportunity.
Hey, at least they are interested enough to challenge us.
OK, let me take a shot. As usual, this is not presented as any sort of absolute truth, just my own opinions and reasoning of my thinking as to the hows and whys.
First thing, let's flush 100% healing right down the crapper. That's a LIE. No Christian person who says it really believes it, and you can bet the farm that no non-Christian is buying it either.
Sounds nice. Just ain't so.
Every day people who are prayed for do not get healed. Some do. Many, probably most, do not. Side note: Don't ever buy into the "If your faith was strong enought they would have been healed" that is a sham. What they really mean is, "If you dump enough cash in the offering plate..." To use God and religion to sham or degrade other people is the highest form of blashphemy. Are you listening out there bev?
When I pray for healing for someone, I pray knowing that God hears, and believing that he will act/intercede if it is in his plan. The deepest, most sincere, hardest I have ever prayed in my life was when Daddy was dying in the hospital. Guess what. He died anyway. Mom prayed for my brother's eye and it was miraculously healed. The doctor didn't even want to check it.
Bottom line. It NEVER happens 100%. Anybody who tells you different is windbagging and is not worth your time.
OK, so why not?
Why doesn't God consistently reward the faithful who call on his name for healing?
Here is my shot.
First of all, if it worked 100% all the time, it wouldn't take long for all the hospitals to shut down and all the doctors to go out of business. So what's wrong with that? Nothing.
If it worked 100%, then the first time anyone got really sick, they would get saved, get the healing and go on their merry way. So what's wrong with that? Plenty.
God wants faith, not someone to get a ticket punched. John was shown things that, had they been revealed would have made it obvious to everyone. He wasn't allowed to write of those things.God wants us to desire him for the right reason.
Revelation 22 8. And I John saw these things, and heard them. And when I had heard and seen, I fell down to worship before the feet of the angel which shewed me these things. 9. Then saith he unto me, See thou do it not: for I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren the prophets, and of them which keep the sayings of this book: worship God. 10. And he saith unto me, Seal not the sayings of the prophecy of this book: for the time is at hand. 11. He that is unjust, let him be unjust still: and he which is filthy, let him be filthy still: and he that is righteous, let him be righteous still: and he that is holy, let him be holy still. OK, so why does God want us to desire him for the right reason? I think that one is pretty easy. The old saying goes "A poor man knows who his friends are" Think of all the people who don't like you. Now, imagine you win the lottery. Budda-bing!!!! Suddenly alot of those people will want to be your friend. How does that make you feel? Are they sincere?
Any kid will tell you he loves you if you hand him an ice-cream cone. Does that mean he loves you, or wants an ice-cream?
For what it's worth, I think it is more about what God wants us to be, than it is about what God wants from us. We are not animals. God wants us to be something more than a self-centered shark cruising the waters, looking for ways to turn everything to our own advantage. We are more than that. We should see past that.
God wants us to come to him for a purpose greater than some hamster pushing down a food bar to get a treat. otherwise, he wouldn't have made us at all, and would have stopped at hampsters.
Lastly, this is not Heaven. Wasn't meant to be. Never will be. God cures cancer. God cures diabeties. God cures the comon code. God cures hangnails. God cures rainy days and Monday mornings with cold coffee.
Just doesn't work that way. This is a temporary stop on your way to something better. It is a boot camp for souls. It is rough, it was meant to be rough. It is meant to test you.
There is Earth and there is Heaven. Sorry to say, you are still on Earth, and a lot of Earth is pretty crappy.
My advice is, keep in mind that it is only temporary, try to make the best of while you are here, and prepare yourself for the next world which will be better in every way.
That's the view from here.

While I don't completely agree with everything I do see this is probably the most reasonable, realistic view I've seen from someone of faith in R&S. I think you've been able to expect things in the realm of reality, as-it-is and not have pipe dreams of what-is-not. You don't believe in false hopes but you do have hope nevertheless and it is far more attainable for you than for someone dreaming a delusional fantasy, You make it happen. I'm sorry you experienced a loss but you have accepted such truths in life though that pain. I wish it never had to be that way but its a hard truth for all of us. I'm happy you also saw a loved one recover. How and why may not matter so much as time well spent in the moment expressing what you feel while you can.
I believe you have adopted a concept of God that is compatible with your own good self. You have taken responsibility and so take the grown up approach.

Excellent post! Back in my day, when I was attempting to be a Christian, I used to get really upset with those that would try to tell me that I needed some holy roller mumbo jumbo to heal me of my ills and that the reason why God wasn't healing the ruptured discs in my back was a result of my lack of faith. Sometimes we need to learn a few life lessons through our infirmities. If all of our pain, ills, frustrations and difficulties were taken away, we would all become very weak and self centered indeed.

excellent post ....
the only thing I want to add is this.... my personal experience.
When my aunt was diagnosed with cancer, my other aunt, the church going hypocrite was praying for a "miracle"..... that my other aunt would be healed.
We knew she was dying and it was a long, slow painful death, agonizing for my mother to watch because she and Audie were not only sisters, but best friends.
When I prayed, I prayed for an "easier death" for Audie. I prayed for that for HER.. not for me, not for my mother, but for her. Were my prayers answered? I have to think about that, because she did die.. but only after suffering and had it not been for the morphine drip she had... ??? How much did she suffer?
Were my hypoctite Aunt's prayers answered? Of course not.... Because Aunt Audie died.
Again lance, excellent post ... it gives me a lot to think about

It all depends how you define what God is or is not. Is it some form of sexless mystical being that stands outside of all there is and is not. Is it nowhere and every where at the same time.
Many are the differing concepts of God and what if you abide by none but accept whatever there is resides within you and all that there is. Any IT would never have created us to start dying from the instance of our birth if IT was going to heal all things while they existed.
Any acceptance of it implies life is a circle there is no life nor death, sickness nor health it simply is a degeneration of the human form and if there was a designer then this is the way it designed us.

Our "prayers" are always answered. Just not always in the way we'd like.

Sorry, double post.
Yes, Ky, God isn't going to heal you if you are ready to go unless He has a special purpose for your life.
My mom was ready to go. All the faith in the world wouldn't have kept her here.

Jesus said, "Oh, ye perverse generation of little faith, how long am I to bear with you?"
It is God's will to heal the sick, Jesus took lashes on His back that you could be healed, was that for nothing?
He took all your diseases, your infirmities into His own body, carried them to the cross with Him and put them to death.
Now, having said that, there is an appointed time for everyone to die.
When you want a healing or you are praying for someone to be healed, you move all the unbelievers out of the way, keep them out of the sick person's room. The only time Jesus couldn't heal someone, it was because of all the unbelief.
He has never failed to heal me. Those scriptures I gave you are like medicine, you have to do it faithfully until it does work.
God's covenant with us says that He will heal us. That is His promise. You have to believe that.
Lance, of course, a hippocrite's prayers for healing wouldn't be answered.
I will post in this thread alone because there are too many people that believe that God discriminates with healing and some are healed and some are not. It all boils down to believing, sorry, thor, lance, that is the bottom line.
There are too many people who need healing to just drop out of this thread.
If a person has trouble believing it is as simple as praying, "Help thou mine unbelief."
Laz, the Bible says we have to ask believing that we receive, that it is done. Did you do that when you prayed, then you pray the Word of God. This is why Jesus said, "My children perish from lack of knowledge."
If you are sick, give the site I gave you a shot. If you get your healing come back and tell others. If you don't, then come back and tell everyone that, too.
I will admit that my faith for healing was seriously lacking, and until I went to that site, I was falling way short on believing, and need the scriptures.
Not only about the narcolepsy, but the arthritis in my ankle from the break many years ago, and I have been having severe gall bladder problems. I went to that site and it reinforced my faith, reinforced what the word says and made it very clear what God's promises are in regards to healing. Now, I know that God's word is His PROMISE. God always keeps His promises.
My right leg, when I fall asleep, just the right one, and I am sure it is because of the injury, the break I had years ago made me have arthritis that has made it painful to walk more often than not, for the past year has been jerking when I first fall asleep, it moves that ankle just exactly in the wrong position and I have been waking up screaming in pain. I started using this site yesterday and although, my leg did the jerking thing twice last night, it did not hurt me even once. That is the first time in a year that it hasn't hurt me.
Now, I will do the same and keep you posted as to how MY healing is going or not going, and I bet it will be going good. The gallbladder thing has eased off, but still bothering me some. I feel much better all over, though.
Remember God is faithful and swift to perfom His Word. His word is a living thing and accomplishes what it sent to do. To get a healing takes more than just believing or praying, it takes the applying of the word, as well.

Just a thought. It might be helpful to drill down into your thoughts to see what resides there otherwise what you are doing is speculating about concepts piled on the top of concepts. But who is to say was nice!

Its hasn't worked to heal your disease of the mind. You are still as mentally ill as before and the only hope is seeing a real mental health professional. Your addiction to fantasy and delusion continues as long as you remain sick.

Hammer, I am only here because there is someone or many someone's who are in need of healing and are sincerely seeking. Obviously, it is not for you, or any skeptics or unbelievers.
This is special for some very special people, and I am here because I was sent here with this or I wouldn't be here at all.
Lance, Thor, anyone, say what you will, it is all about seeking the right way and believing, applying the word and standing. This is why I posted this, and yes, it is 100% guaranteed. Like Jesus said, "My children perish from lack of knowledge."
This is what I came back in to bring, knowledge.
Like Jesus said, "So be it unto you according to your faith."

Bev,
Yes, Ky, God isn't going to heal you if you are ready to go unless He has a special purpose for your life. So the christian god only heals if he wants to use us. What an evil god he must be to use people in that way. If he has use for you he heals you ..... if not he just sits back and enjoys watching the person suffer. Great guy!
I thought that you washed your hands of us.
Peace

Perhaps the joke is really on Christians and also non-Christians who continue to be drawn into the rantings of a deranged woman who suffers hallucinations and a host of other mental diseases. Yet, it is a morbid curiosity just as one might stare at someone who is a midget, is 8ft tall or has two heads. They are freaks of nature yet those who are mentally ill are mental freaks of nature and otherwise appear as normal until they speak.
