Christian Theologists agree that the words written in the Bible is but mans vain attempt to emulate what the words of God might have said in their own opinion. But alas they also state that any words written by God [they do not know if he ever wrote any] dissolved long ago.

I'm impressed with Lance's responses. Lance shows class by his willingness to share his thoughts. He does so in a rational way. He is also the first to admit it when he doesn't have an answer. That is a sign of wisdom. Its a shame some of the other Christians, or those who call themselves Christians (pseudos) don't share that wisdom.

Lance is more like my personal Christian friends who are Ministers, Preachers and Priest who are not only skilled and educated beyond what their belief system of choice taught them but are researchers into the veracity of all the worlds religions aka scholars in their own right.

I call them privately Men of Reason.

When we join together with other Religions and living belief system it is simply amazing how they all get along. They never take exception to what I put forth as a Taoist as they can embrace what it has to offer in the way of wisdom.

I asked one of them one time why don't you try to express yourself to your congregation and relate to them the way you do to us. His answer was simply to straighten out his hand and move it above his head. In other words it would be over their head.

While men like Lance could grasp what they say the majority would be totally lost like many on here are.
Thanks for those kind words. LOL, I catch enough grief from some folks (bev) about being "patted on the back by heretics"

I guess she never learned that making an ass of yourself does not make you righteous, other than treating someone else of different faiths respectfully makes you a lesser Christian

I enjoy the Eastern parables such as:

The definition of an Ass is someone who rides an Ass, looking for an Ass, all the while their own Ass is smarting from riding on their own Ass while on a Ass.
