Question #1: It's a flawed question making assumptions about prayer. Much like asking, "Did you use a condom when you raped that girl?" There is no right answer, since the question itself is wrong.
Question #2: An attempt to blame God for the faults of man. We have free will, and abuse it regularly.
Question #3: Quotations taken out of context that are regularly misinterpretted.
Question #4: A combination of logical flaws here. Cross application of faiths, literal interpretation of metaphorical passages, misinterpretation of fact, etc.
Question #5: .....blah blah blah.
It's an interesting (but not very effective) use of traditional brainwashing. The use of facts, allegations presented as fact, biased verbiage ("strange rationalization", "wierd rationalization", etc.), intentional misinterpretations, and so on. The strategy begins with concepts that encourages a mentality of "general agreement" (the claim that doctors, lawyers, etc. are smart), before leading down a path to the truly esoteric. The same strategy is used in books like Dianetics (L. Ron Hubbard), cults, and so on.
Conclusion?
It's a load of biased, B.S., supported by a cursory knowledge of Christianity but demonstrating a complete lack of understanding.
(Not that I disagree, entirely....I'm only saying their arguments are garbage.)

I don't understand your connection. How is the question about God healing amputees a leading question?
An attempt to blame God for the faults of man. We have free will, and abuse it regularly. OK that's fair, yet lame.
Quotations taken out of context that are regularly misinterpretted. I've heard this criticism before and it's still no excuse. Cite one example of a justified killing in the scriptures mentioned in the article and explain why it's justified.
A combination of logical flaws here. Cross application of faiths, literal interpretation of metaphorical passages, misinterpretation of fact, etc.
I can somewhat see your point, yet even when scriptures are interpreted allegorically, you're stuck with this problematic question about the Bible. If it's a holy and inspired message to man for all ages, then why are the interpretations so numerous and diverse? The problem with allegory and metaphor is that they mean different things to different people. Hardly the strategy a supreme being would want to use if he had a massage intended for all people for all time.
Question #5: .....blah blah blah. And why don't you feel this is a legit question? If the Bible is the last word on morality, and slavery is immoral, then why doesn't the Bible contain some sort of commandment against the act?
demonstrating a complete lack of understanding.
What points lack understanding?

How is the question about God healing amputees a leading question? Not a leading question. A flawed question. A leading question is answerable, but 'encourages' a particular response by including biased terms or phrases. In this case, the question incorporates an incorrect presumption regarding the use of prayer, the desires of God, and the "inferiority" of an amputee. Thus, the question cannot be answered without acknowledging flawed premises thus giving them undeserved credence. (In the rape example, the answer "Yes" or "No" both imply admission to the rape.)
And why don't you feel this is a legit question? Sorry, I didn't intend to imply that. My "blah blah blah" was simply me expressing boredom at analyzing each question individually. (The video itself doesn't go into much detail on the latter questions....so I followed suit.) I decided at that point to give a summary opinion.
What points lack understanding? All of them. lol

you want to talk about suffering!!! i couldn't find the mute button while i was writing down the 10 questions. LOL #1: why won't my God heal amputees? why should my God heal anyone? i have no doubt that none of these negatives are the fault of my God. and concerning diseases, my God made a promise that you would have none of these diseases if you would just follow the commandments of God. the infirmities have been covered. #2 i think that starvation falls under the infirities clause. #3:my God does not demand the death of anyone, my God is the God of the living and not the dead. perhaps you confuse my God with your god, or even more specific, you confuse the commandments of men with the commandments of my God? #4: i haven't found any antisciense "nonsense" in my bible. perhaps someone would like to point out a commandment by my God that can be catagorised as antiscience nonesense? #5: once again find scriptures by my God that cannot be labeled as being from men concerning slavery. #6: because there aren't any good people so therefore bad things do not happen to good people! LOL #7why should there be? if there was even one scientifically proven miracle i am sure that it wouldn't change one thing nor one person. #8: logic implies that ya been looking in the wrong place! #9: the whole point of that particular meal has been ignored and adulterated. my teacher would not want me to eat him nor drink his blood. #10: i got a divorce because we were unequally yoked. but she asked for the divorce and i jumped on a deal i could not refuse. over simplified:she was from venus and i was from mars! LOL now, i am open to debate on any of the 10 questions asked. but be so kind/polite to give me time to find the words of rebuttal from my teacher. we be jammin

Question #1 Why won't God heal amputees?
The Peabrain says
Question #1: It's a flawed question making assumptions about prayer. Much like asking, "Did you use a condom when you raped that girl?" There is no right answer, since the question itself is wrong. This response proves a flawed intellect since he doesn't understand the question. Also, his response using a rape victim is flawed since medical doctors and police ask that particular question. Peabrain says the question is wrong. What is wrong is Peabrain's brain for not being able to answer the question.
So the question remains, why doesn't God heal amputees? Have there been any amputees who spontaneously grew new limbs? Not humans. Can humans grow new limbs? Before age 5 children can regrow severed fingertips. Stemcell research holds hope for amputees. This is probably why Christians are against stemcell research. They want God to grow new limbs but God keeps saying no. The question is why.
=========================================================== Question #2 Why are there so many starving people in our world?
The Peabrain says
Question #2: An attempt to blame God for the faults of man. We have free will, and abuse it regularly. Peabrain's stupid answer blames the problem of starving children on starving children and their parents. Blaming them for famine and natural disasters they no control over. Doesn't God have control over everything? Quite a stupid response from Peabrain since people do pray for starving children. Such prayers obviously don't work. =========================================================== Question #3 Why does God demand the death of so many innocent people in the Bible
The Peabrain says
Question #3: Quotations taken out of context that are regularly misinterpretted. What Peabrain is doing is the standard religious response:
# When given a Bible verse that looks bad just say that's not what it means. from CRASH COURSE: HOW-TO BE A CHRISTIAN His kind of non-answer was already anticipated and just shows his lack of reasoning skills and knowledge of the bible. There are so many verses where God commands who to put to death and God even curses you for refusing. Its a very long list of "put to deaths" so I'll skip the examples. =========================================================== Question #4 Why does the Bible contain so much anti-scientific nonsense?
The Peabrain says
Question #4: A combination of logical flaws here. Cross application of faiths, literal interpretation of metaphorical passages, misinterpretation of fact, etc. Another question too complicated for someone who is irrational, illogical and lacking general scientific knowledge.
If a man can literally walk on water there are physical laws in play. Consider the water's surface tension, Archimedes principle, density of water, etc. The bible is clear. Jesus walked on water which is scientifically impossible.
Jesus raised people from the dead and rose from the dead. Is this metaphorical or literal. Its not scientifically impossible so does that imply its a metaphor? No it doesn't. The Bible is clear. The story claims Jesus raised people from the dead and he rose from the dead.
Did every animal on earth walk on to a wooden boat? Did Balaam's ass talk to him? Was Adam made from dust? Was Eve made from a rib? In the real world of science? No. In the fantasy world of bible stories? Yes. Is it anti-scientific nonsense? YES.
Several states have Creationism Museums that teach children their parents are idiots. Are Creationism Museums anti-scientific nonsense? YES.
The bible is filled with stories of magic Christians believe actually happened. Do they believe in anti-scientific nonsense? YES. =========================================================== Question #5 Why is God such a huge proponent of slavery in the Bible?
The Peabrain says
Question #5: .....blah blah blah. Yes, blah blah blah. Again this illogical and irrational fellow can not respond with a real answer or is blah blah blah the real answer? Where does the Bible condemn slavery? Jesus himself doesn't condemn it as he fiercely condemned other behavior. Paul tells slaves to obey their earthly masters as they will obey their heavenly master. See Ephesians 6:5-9 and Colossians 4:1. There are other examples from the bible too...
The Peabrain gets tired and doesn't respond to the next 5 questions which are:
===========================================================
Question #6: Why do bad things happen to good people? That makes no sense. You have created an exotic excuse on God's behalf to rationalize it. Religious are very good at making excuses for anything. We see this every day here. They are especially good at making excuses for themselves.
Question #7: Why didn't any of Jesus' miracles in the Bible leave behind any evidence? It's very strange, isn't it? You have created an excuse to rationalize it.We've gone over this ad naseum. Jesus' miracles are copies from previous man-gods and Jesus himself had no witnesses who wrote about him.

Question #8: How do we explain the fact that Jesus has never appeared to you? Actually Jesus does appear to people in the same way Elvis does and extraterrestrials who abduct people do. Hallucinations are common and have many causes. ===========================================================
Question #9 – Why would Jesus want you to eat his body and drink his blood? It sounds totally grotesque, doesn't it? Why would al all-powerful God want you to do something that, in any other context, sounds like a disgusting, cannibalistic, satanic ritual? Yes, its disgusting whether its a metaphor or literal. ===========================================================
And finally, Question #10 – Why do Christians get divorced at the same rate as non-Christians? This question is wrong. Christians actually have a higher divorce rate than non-Christians. Who says? Christians say so, the Barna group who does statistical research.

It doesn't suprise me, southernlass. Iam01 regularly jumps to false conclusions based on inaccurate preconceived notions.
For instance, regarding his response to Question #1....he totally missed the point, and assumed a rape actually occurred. The question itself doesn't give the option for a valid response.
He also missed my clarification (in response to Thor) regarding "Blah blah blah". My fault, for being vague.
I find it amusing that he thinks it's okay for him to twist the meaning of the bible to suit his accusations....yet any attempt to clarify, or dispel his misconceptions are countered with the accusation "No, you must accept & explain MY (flawed) interpretation of the scripture."
As for the rest of Iam01's rambling, I scanned over it, but don't believe there's any point in addressing his delusions. He has faith in them, a faith that won't be shaken. No one else cares.

PeaB, you know it's bad when Iam has now determined that you're a (hold your breath here) CHRISTIAN!! Another peabrain quote. Where did I say Peabrain was a Christian?
SL, you are not very bright to give false testimony. Aren't you lying by saying I tagged Peabrain to be a Christian? Just because he's a peabrain doesn't mean he's a Christian or is there something about how related Christians are to peabrains?
I think JJ would call you a pseudo. That works too but I like peabrain. Actually delusional peabrain works better, Christian or not.

Do you believe snakes talk? Do you believe Balaam's ass spoke to him? Do you believe a man lived in a fish for days? Do you believe a woman instantly turned into salt? Do you believe Jacob beat God in a wrestling match? Do you believe a shrubbery had a conversation with Moses? Do you believe the earth stopped rotating for a whole day? Do you believe water instantly turned into wine? Do you believe every animal on the planet marched on to a wooden barge? Do you believe people once lived over 500 years old? Do you believe invisible beings talk to people? Do you believe Elvis is alive since there were so many witnesses that saw him after he died?
How delusional and stupid does anyone have to be to believe any of those things actually happened? Seriously....I'll try not to laugh....
Sorry, I couldn't help it.
Elvis is Risen....

Why won't God heal amputees? If the biased person that asked this question somehow knew for a fact that God didnt...he would also know why. We are who we are on earth for a very short time but our souls through faith arent amputees for eternity.
Why are there so many starving people in our world? Because not enough people that arent starving provide food for those that are.
Why does God demand the death of so many innocent people in the Bible? Because somebody other then God wrote the Bible.
Why does the Bible contain so much anti-scientific nonsense? Because some of the Bible was written without scientific knowledge.
Why is God such a huge proponent of slavery in the Bible? Same asnwer as question #2.
Why do bad things happen to good people? Because were people and people arent immune from bad things...duh.
Why didn't any of Jesus' miracles in the Bible leave behind any evidence? Because those who had a part in the miracles he performed have been dead for quite some time and they didnt have an audience of people equipped with a Kodak.
How do we explain the fact that Jesus has never appeared to you? How does the author know that he didnt? Jesus appears to me everyday...you just have to know how to see life and accept it as life.
Why would Jesus want you to eat his body and drink his blood? Why would a person ask for intelligent responses to an unintelligent question like this one?
Why do Christians get divorced at the same rate as non-Christians? Because Christians are imperfect people just like everyone else.

How delusional and stupid does anyone have to be to believe any of those... bear any relevance to the validity of Christianity?
How delusional and stupid does anyone have to be to believe any of those... questions repeated numerous times will have any effect on anyone's faith?
How delusional and stupid does anyone have to be to... take anything you say seriously?
I gotta admit....I'm stupid enough to keep reading Iam's posts. What a waste of energy.

I think JJ would call you a pseudo. Name-calling in general is immature and hardly the epidemy of Christianity. Of course, I've slipped myself here more than once, but I really don't think anyone is able to play god and determine with any seriousness that they can know the status of another human being's salvation. I think claiming to know is a good indication that one is on a self imposed ego trip and I personally would pay such a person's opinion absolutely no mind.

It doesn't suprise me, southernlass. Iam01 regularly jumps to false conclusions based on inaccurate preconceived notions That's because he uses his emotions to determine what is and what is not. He lacks logic even though he touts he supposedly remarkable accomplishments in academia. He is blinded by his bias and can't even begin to grasp the reality of the unseen and unmeasurable. Since his basic premise is constantly flawed and filled with sarcasm he can only come to inaccurate conclusions. He has no choice because of the misdirection that fills and guides him.

I gotta admit....I'm stupid enough to keep reading Iam's posts. What a waste of energy. You might be stupid given your lack of ability to answer even the simplest of questions. Its a waste of energy that is best spent learning logic. 2=1.
Sealachimp What is unseen and unmeasurable looks a lot like the non-existent but exists as a religious fantasy within your delusional mind.
Why won't God heal amputees? Because its impossible. Only medical science has the potential to heal amputees and hopeful in this lifetime. One less useless prayer Christians would futilely attempt.
Do you believe Balaam's ass spoke to him? I believe Seal has an ass that talks for him.
The Christian delusion requires blind faith, ignorance, irrationality, and very often stupidity but with a talent for confabulation and fantasy.

You might be stupid given your lack of ability to answer even the simplest of questions The "lack of ability" is not a given. You have no way of proving this. You can only assume it. Ask a serious, relevant question, and I'll be happy to answer it for you. Whether you can understand the answer....well, probably not. You've demonstrated some level of resistance to learning.
Its a waste of energy that is best spent learning logic. Unfortunately, any energy I save can't be given to you. You'll have to learn logic on your own.
Why won't God heal amputees? Prove that he doesn't. Prove that he should. Prove that he's obligated to do so.

I condemn false prophets, I condemn the effort to take away the power of rational decision, to drain people of their free will - and a hell of a lot of money in the bargain. Religions vary in their degree of idiocy, but I reject them all. For most people, religion is nothing more than a substitute for a malfunctioning brain.
--Gene Roddenberry Was Gene Roddenberry a visionary who describes the common religious buffoons right here? A malfunctioning brain is correct. Slamming one's head only adds insult to the existing injury. The illogic, irrationalities, absurdities, delusions, and hallucinations all add up to the human contents of a psycho ward some call a church. This only glorifies a dope show to masquerade as pious stupidity.

Prove that he doesn't. Prove that he should. Prove that he's obligated to do so. A he? God has a penis? You actually show us your lack knowledge and ability to use logic. You said you were stupid and are now trying to prove it. Save your energy. Do you know what logical flaw you committed?
