This morning I was entering the building where I live. The front office is behind a long row of glass running the entire length of the lobby.
Sitting in the office was a man who I first met when I moved here in 1986. At that time he was the Property Manager. I've seen him in-passing a few times since then. We've only ever shared in short, very casual conversations. Nothing more than a sentence or two. Apparently now he is the regional manager for the owners of the building.
I entered the office to say Hello, curious to see how much about me he remembered.
As I approached him with an out-stretched hand, he beamed at me like a long-lost friend. He firmly clasped my hand, and out of the side of his mouth he sheepishly asked if I remembered him. 
Knowingly, he informed me that he used to work with the same company, but then, (back when the building first opened), his duties kept him mainly around town here.
Then he said, (again knowingly--like I probably wouldn't remember), that back in 1986 I didn't walk around very well. I think he may even have slowly shook his head.
"But now", he continued, "I was watching you come in the apartment building and I thought it must've just been somebody who looked a lot like you." "It's like a miracle! You're walking so good now!"
This guy couldn't possibly know my Christian journey. 
Nice thing to hear. 
I thanked him for his encouraging words. (But I'm sure I was beaming.  )
Have you been offered words of encouragement lately? What was the story there?
Or have you helped someone else by encouraging them? What was that all about?

Congrats on the compliments, SOC. I know that made you feel good.
I'm encouraged as I rented my cabin unit to a wonderful military couple whom I feel will make excellent tenants. I was a little concerned that in this economy it might be difficult to keep everything rented but so far, so good.
I got my little girl off to school in the fifth grade safe and sound and she seems glad to be back, for the most part. I'm encouraged that when I actually start "pounding the pavement" in search of my new internship that I'll find something that actually pays me a decent, reasonable wage.
I attempt to encourage everyone I know in my life that I have the good fortune to run across. People need encouragement and positivity these days because the economy is ruthless for some, and most people are experiencing some trepidation about government right now.

And you know that you usually find that you'll be generously blessed with all the encouragement you give to others. You'll just keep getting back, as much as you try to give away.
I'm really not sure if there's anything written in the Bible about this. But it sure does happen that way. 
It sounds like you got some pretty good tenants there.

Why not share whats true and real to encourage others? Would that really prove anything to you, Iam? I mean, it would only show what SOC is like now, not how he was 23 years ago or even 23 months ago. His progressive healing wouldn't be verifed, so the utube wouldn't help you to believe he's getting better, would it?

It would definintely prove he can now walk normally as he keeps telling us over and over with numerous treads. Either way, its extremely simple to upload videos and since SOC is always rejoicing himself to solicit an Amen or a pat on the back this is an even better way to spread the word. As a photo is worth a thousand words, a video is worth a thousand photos and its undeniability would shut up any naysayers for good.

It sounds to me like you are trying to invade his privacy.
My next door neighbor fell yesterday. I am trying to encourage her to believe that the pain and soreness will probably start easing up in a few days. I think it is better to look at the best case scenario than to look at the worst one.

It sounds to me like you are trying to invade his privacy. How is that possible when SOC tells us his most private thoughts including his long term celibacy. In case you haven't noticed, SOC has photos of himself in his profile so what the hell privacy are you talking about? No one wants to see naked photos or videos.

Well, you are no medical doctor and if she is elderly then falling is a very bad sign and needs immediate examination by someone more qualified than you. If she has any kind of fracture you would never know it unless you have x-ray vision and even then would need training to know what you're looking at.

She was taken to the emergency room and checked completely out.

So, wouldn't the doctors be in a far better position to tell her pain and soreness will probably start easing up in a few days? And what's all that have to do with encouraging SOC to post a video? You know something we don't? You blowing smoke to create obfuscation?

As a photo is worth a thousand words, a video is worth a thousand photos and its undeniability would shut up any naysayers for good. Okay, but how do we know that medical Drs. didn't heal SOC? Have you been to Drs. SOC? Well, if you have then any kind of advancement in your healing could be due to medication, exercise, attitude, (You seem to be positive),healthy eating and vitamins. None of these things are extra terrestial or spiritual. If you truly do get healed SOC, I want to see it myself. But, if you are visiting Drs. and taking meds then your healing could be due to that and no glory should go to god.
Just a sidenote. A "prophet" at my daughters' church told her that she and her hubby would be reunited. That's been over 3 years ago and her hubby now has a girlfriend and a baby with her. Some "prophet." My daughter swore up and down that this prohet is ALWAYS right. The problem with prophets is they can add as much time to their prophecies as they want to. So, it may be 50 years before my daughter and her hubby get together and the prophet can claim she was right. Well, she'll probably be dead by then and so will my daughter. But, this kind of ties in with SOCs' healing. It may not happen for 50 years and God gets the credit either way. God never loses in prayer or healings.
