I love God because He makes me feel warm, safe, and protected. I love God because He is fair and just. I love God because of how He loves me. He made the ultimate sacrifice He could make through Jesus Christ so that I could fellowship with Him. He helps me to become more like Him the more I embrace His teaching. He gives me the desires of my heart, because He knows that my greatest desire is to love and to please Him, and my greatest passion is to serve Him.

I love God for giving me this life.
I love God His awesome creation of such an incredible variety of human beings on this planet.
I love God for keeping me alive through my car accident.
I love God for the abundant joy He fills me with each morning, (and throughout the day.)
I love God for the tremendous patience He has with me as I slowly learn to understand Him. (Even though I screw-up so often.)
I love God for His guidance as I slowly learn His Word more completely. (And so I learn more about Him.)
What a wonderful life.

I love God for the great amount of peace He has given me.
I love God for giving me this certainty of spending eternity with my loved ones.
I love God for creating beautiful things.
This is a pretty great thread burns.

I think you must misunderstand my words alive.
When I thanked Him for putting "a bounce back in my step", I was being literal. Not figurative. So I'm unable to understand how you could possibly "see it that way".
I'm referring to my own physical abilities. The walking ability that was taken away from me as a result of a car accident.
I've mentioned this before. (See "Testimony time--round 2.")
Today while walking, I felt muscles in my legs being used that have not been used in over 20 years.

You've been doing the same threshold to run posts for years. I'm sure the archives goes further back. However, you do play this game to get attention from local Christians who are delusional, uneducated, gullible and retarded. You've been able to walk for a long time and even do a few athletic activities like canoeing. So what's with the pity party just because you don't run? Most people in their 50's don't run. A lot of people much younger are paralyzed or have no legs to even walk or stand. Maybe you should walk through a hospital and see what real tragedy is. Maybe you should volunteer in a hospital and talk to those people. Time to grow up.

With all of your alleged education, were you never taught the definition of the words eternity or eternal?
I'll give you a hint...both involve a length of time without end.
If the ability to run is given to me. It is only something I will enjoy for a few years here on earth. The real prize for my faith is something a little more valuable.
As a result of my relationship with Jesus Christ, I have been promised a time without end--in heaven.
Whether or not I ever again run here on earth, the joy of my salvation will not be lessened one iota.
There are no diseases in heaven. There are no disabilities in heaven.
So whether my injuries have existed for 43 days or 43 years. They will not be there with me in heaven.
And I will be there for a day or 2 longer than 43 years.
I advise you to board that heavenbound train my friend. Who knows when it's going to be leaving the station.
