Cults

This is very interesting and should give us pause. I wonder how many people were exposed at a young age to this type of programming?

Diane Benscoter is obviously very intelligent. Intelligence always gives someone an edge. This will leave out many people and they will remain brainwashed. SOC, what do you think about Diane Benscoter testimony?

Just finished watching. Awesome vid Yash. I have said too long that research and education can solve this problem. Diane does say the same thing...

Do not follow me for I do not know where I am going and will not know once I get there instead walk by my side and share our reality as the case may be.

I think the saying goes something like this: "I am not as good as I once was, but am as good once as I ever was" So do not label me fast as slow is much better.

I studied Self Auto hypnosis long before it was cool in the early 1960's while studying for my degree in Physics. I also took up the martial arts which at that time was more of a fringe than a type of living and self defense.

I also used a early form of pillow learning where I would focus on a problem in physics or math then slept on it when any answer would come to me than I would write it down then go back to sleep, it works!

The Power of Positive Thinking was all the rage back in those days and yes I did read it and used it.
so you know the power of thought. why dont you teach it?
I did teach but as a martial artist and Zen Roshi as a pointer not as a teacher.

Are you a loving muse purrrr BTW which Muse are you a reincarnation of? Aoide ("song" or "voice"), Melete ("practice" or "occasion"), and Mneme ("memory").

the trouble with reborn people are they have a need to see it through... and what starts out as a helping hand quickly leads to manipulation, esp when people have lost hope.

sometimes people fall so far down the rabbit hole, they need a branch to get back up and often christianity is that branch that will save them, and this is true. it does... doesnt matter how much you dislike christianity it does help people

and for that we should be grateful...but then there comes a time when you learn how to crawl and then walk and then you help ours to find their feet and no one should attempt to take such graciousness away.

but sadly

some become judgemental and decide that unless we have gone through what they have or earned the help that they have then we are not worthy. and this is wrong. God i feel like i have written a book....

get the picture, once we find our feet we help others but it doesnt mean we are special in any way. no way... if we were special we would be on the right hand side of God like mother Teresa

i am bored... you ignore me. i am off to another sandpit

Hmmm savants are people who have their brain 'rewired'. The damaged part is bypassed by new connections and modules. Anyone know about savants?

WATCH THIS SHORT MINUTE OR TWO LONG VIDEO - CULT OF ATHEISM?

Cult of atheism? This is what the man in the video asks quite sincerely of Richard Dawkins.

It would appear that there is a new cult on the map. And based upon the history of atheism, this cult is beginning to sound just like many of its atheist predecessors. Have a thorough read below and see if you don't see similarities in the new atheists of today who are striving to "rid the world of religion" and their atheist forefathers who were vigilant and aggressive in their atheist beliefs.

These are the Sam Harris's of the world, along with Richard Dawkins, Christopher Hitchens, and Daniel Dennet and their growing cult-like followers. If you read any of these men's works, you soon realize that you're reading their versions of the atheist bible. Their books and cult-like beliefs seem all too familiar based upon this look into history below and when one connects the dots, the overall picture is bone-chilling. These cult-like new atheists desire to suppress religion and destroy it just as their communist atheist brethren did. We cannot be sure that they will not return to the roots of their sinister, quite dangerous atheist forefathers and repeat history:

State atheism has been defined as the official promotion of atheism by a government, typically by active suppression of religious freedom and practice.[1]

As a strict rule (a period in Revolutionary France being a possible exception), only Marxist governments have ever sought to promote atheism as a public norm, and as a rule in accordance with the doctrine of dialectical materialism. State atheism has been implemented in communist countries, such as the former Soviet Union,[2] China, Cuba, Communist Albania, and Communist Mongolia under communist rule also promoted state atheism and attempted to suppress religion.[2][3] State atheism in these countries may include active opposition to religion, and persecution of religious institutions, leaders and believers. However, whether such persecution was truly motivated by atheism is disputed by others.[4][5] The Soviet Union had a long history of state atheism,[6] in which social success largely required individuals to proclaim atheism and stay away from churches; this attitude was especially militant under Stalin.[7][8][9] The Soviet Union attempted to impose atheism over wide areas of its influence, including places like central Asia.[10] The Socialist People's Republic of Albania under Enver Hoxha went so far as to officially ban the practice of every religion.[11]

During the French Revolution, for the first time in history, a society delved into the prospect of an atheist state.[12] After the Revolution, Jacques Hébert, a radical revolutionary journalist, and Anacharsis Cloots, a politician, had successfully campaigned for the proclamation of the atheistic Cult of Reason, which was adopted by the French Republic on November 10, 1793 though abandoned May 7, 1794 in favor its deistic replacement the Cult of the Supreme Being.[13] Cloots maintained that "Reason" and "Truth" were "supremely intolerant" and that the daylight of atheism would make the lesser lights of religious night disappear.[13] The state then further pushed its campaign of dechristianization[14], which included removal and destruction of religious objects from places of worship and the transformation of churches into atheistic "Temples of the Goddess of Reason", culminating in an atheistic celebration of Reason in Notre Dame Cathedral.[15][16][17]

Counterrevolution against the anticlerical aspects of the Revolution led to a civil war in the Vendée where republicans suppressed the Catholic and royalist uprising in what some call the first modern genocide.[12][18]

Unlike later establishments of atheism by "communist" regimes, the French Revolutionary experiment was short (7 months), incomplete and inconsistent.[14] Although brief, the French experiment was particularly notable for the influence upon atheists Ludwig Feuerbach (who called religion an opiate before Marx[19]), Sigmund Freud and Karl Marx.[12] Using the ideas of Feuerbach, Marx and Freud, "communist" regimes later treated religious believers as subversives or abnormal, often relegated to psychiatric hospitals and reeducation.[12]

Marxism-Leninism has consistently advocated the control, suppression, and, ultimately, the elimination of religious beliefs. Within about a year of the revolution the state expropriated all church property, including the churches themselves, and in the period from 1922 to 1926, 28 Russian Orthodox bishops and more than 1,200 priests were killed (a much greater number was subjected to persecution).[29]
